Under their kimono are pants to match their hair and eyes, and they stand on high platform black geta.

Blood Demon Art: Eyes of God / Kami no Me
Description: Ren uses their long nails to release a few ounces of blood. They form this into small, floating globules that can slit open in the middle and have the appearance of blinking eyes the size of a fist. They can see out of these "eyes" and can move them around quickly for observation, or self-destruct the eyes for damage
Pros:
+ Ren can move them up to 60 miles an hour, far faster than an average person can run.
+ Ren can see through them at unlimited range, as long as the eye exists.
+ Ren can switch between looking through any instantly.
+ The eyes can explode, causing painful burns on anyone within three feet of the explosion.
Neutral:
= The eyes can blend in with their surroundings, but this cuts off vision as they eyes effectively shut.
= Ren can make as many as they have blood, but the more blood they use the harder it is to control the eyes.
Cons:
- The eyes can be pretty easily destroyed with a demon weapon or by another demon. Once destroyed or exploded, they return to blood, but the blood is useless and another eye cannot be remade from it.
- They do nothing for defense whatsoever.
- Ren can only have up to three eyes open at once, as more than that causes extreme visual imput exhaustion.
- While they can make them endlessly (or until they have no blood left) if they are destroyed, they can only have three at once at any given time.

Fighting Style: Generally speaking, Ren doesn’t fight at all. They strongly prefer to hole themself up in their house when someone comes knocking for a row, or to hire someone else to fight that person for them. Most likely of all is them using their blood art to find dirt on that person to socially or emotionally dismantle them.
If it does come down to fighting, Ren isn’t strong at all, which means they try to keep their distance. They are a bit flexible and fast, so a slower target will have a hard time getting into range with them, and an even harder time landing a hit. Ren won’t hardly hit back at all (unless they have no other choice) but will send their Eyes of God after the enemy to blow them up like floating mines in their face.

+ Affluent: They’ve had a lot of time to make a lot of money and connections. They aren’t quite high nobility rich, but they have a mansion filled with many expensive items.
= Flirtatious: If you come across them, they’ll probably flirt with you. They don’t mean it, usually, it’s mostly amusement in their mannerisms.
- High-Maintenance: They expect a lot out of themself and even more out of anyone that works for them. Oftentimes they change their opinion at the drop of the hat simply to do so, to the frustration of those around them.

HISTORY
Ren was an awkward, quiet child in a small lakeside town with very few friends due to their effeminate nature. Their father was a merchant, and so they (at the time, perceived as the eldest son) were expected to learn the family trade. While they did their best to follow in his footsteps, being personable and shrewd did not come naturally to them at all. They were often admonished by their father for their inability, and grew up callous and spiteful because of it. Still, they had little choice but to grow into it as their mother only gave birth to daughters, and so learn the trade they eventually did. But they prefered to seduce and charm and blackmail their customers rather than shout and ass-kiss and weasel, much to their father’s continued anger. Eventually their father grew older and no longer could hit them or go along with, and it became a moot point; finally they felt like they’d won some sort of victory.
Their work took them to many parts of the country, and one day they met a beautiful young woman who was the daughter of a poor blacksmith. The two fell in love easily as she had a kind spirit and an open mind, accepting them for who they are rather than the expectations that society had on them. Ren opened their heart to her and for the first time in a very long time, lost the edge of their bitterness, as she told them to love humanity the way she did, even the worst of it. They proposed to her as soon as they were able, and then went home once more to tell their family, with the intention of marrying her as soon as they returned.

As they entered their family home, however, the scent of blood was thick. A man stood in the kitchen of Ren’s house with their parents’ blood all over his hands and a cruel smile. He called himself Kibutsuji Muzan, and said Ren’s parents were failures, but had high hopes for them. Before Ren knew any better, the world turned red and they only knew pain and hunger. (They quite literally do not remember what happened: they later learned that they might have been turned by Kibutsuji or by another demon that he sic’d on them.)
Ren could not have known that their betrothed had left to go after them, discouraged to see them go and wanting to meet their parents herself. They could not have known that she would smell delicious after becoming a monster and being plunged into perpetual, cruel hunger. So the inevitable happened, and Ren killed her. After sating their hunger and returning somewhat to their senses, horrified, they realized what they had become and hated this side of themself that would kill and eat what she loved. They swore to never do so again, no matter the cost, as they put on the pink kimono they had bought for her as an engagement present, now soaked and stained in her blood.

After a period of mourning, they decided to make something of themself. They sold the family home and spent a hundred years on the road, mastering the art of the merchant until they had a small fortune and many connections. They collected items that they thought she might have found beautiful, and then bought a small mansion to keep them in. This became known as the Collection, and they the Collector, full of items to trade and barter with. They even developed a blood art that allowed them to spy on people and collect secrets to use to their whims. Ren became hedonistic and selfish over time, but never broke their oath to not eat humans.

After a few hundred years, they became informed of a group that was formed around the similar oath, and they reached out to Himari, the creator of this Black Lotus group. Finding her rather adorable, they decided to align themself with her group, although they do not need the protection she provides to younger and weaker demons.
