I'm not too sure if this qualifies in the fantasy catagory but here goes.
This belonged to my partner's RPG character, I just find it cool to paint an human assasin for a change.
Been a HUGE fan of Mr Justin Sweet, took one of his paints as a reference for speed paint techniques. I heard his given very little time to churn out those really cool character potraits in the games he works on, so I guess studying his paints has taken me this far for now. I purposely choose limited colors for this work to better bring out the mood for the character.

The blood dripping from the blade's point is too bright for my taste. Good choice of dark colors! His expression really intense!

Wow! This is just like a portrait you'd find in an RPG! I love it.
The only thing that bothers me is the color of the blood; it is shown here as... almost neon pink (really bright.) I think it should have been more thick, drippy and slightly orange. (My DA I.D. portrays me as a zombie, with blood as I described.) I think, depending on what you slice through, blood can either be slightly orange or deep red (still on the orange side of the scale, though.)
Other than the color of the blood, the perspective of the feet could have been a bit more researched. More detail in that would have improved this, as well. Reference and stock photography are an artist's best friend!
Other than those two things... everything is fine!! (If not for the fact that he'd probably snap my neck, I'd like to play with his hair...)

I just have to tell you, on first look I had to check who drew it. It's so outside your normal style, but it's imposing and highly professional looking. Whatever you're doing... it's working. Sexy, almost like Brom art (but a little less busy). I only wish you'd make the blood a pinch darker xD

Hehe, ya I wasn't very happy with the blood neither, alot more pinkish than I thought. Just felt like doing something different from what I usually paint, plus I get to do discover some techniques too.

Ya man, trying something new for now cause my friends are starting this RPG campaign so I try to keep to its look. Actually am still looking for my own style of design and paint to strike out, so just gotta keep painting first. Your works look great too man!

Least we're more or less done with the main characters for now, looking forward to more interesting characters you can turn up in the game.
Hey, you used to have a playabe character in the game too, an elf mage/cleric right? It was fun back than. Do one for this game too man, I'm really using this game as a foundation for a character paint practice

U mean josh and his jolly men? ha, i was a cleric cuz no one wanted to be one. Human, cleric and he was he weak, sickly, stupid and ugly! i think the only acceptable stat was 15 or 16 wisdom... i will let you know if i need any special char. Man, i feel like a nerd

very cool. only problem I have is that his build seems uber big for an assassin. like to me this guy would be perfect as a night, or plain warrior. but that is more of a personal thing. I really love the hair and his hape. great painting

My friend did create a fighter/thief, I agree to the anatomy problems. He had a good roll hand that round and kinda felt hard to downsize a strength:18 stat (if you understand RPG elements).
