Kalam Mekhar, quite possibly the baddest ass in the entire Malazan universe. In a world where coughing in the wrong direction is like to turn you into a demigod, Kalam's just a guy with a couple of knives and a remarkable efficiency in using them, going toe to toe with armies and prophets and demons and deities. I'm pretty sure he is played by Idris Elba.

Thanks! I'm happy with how close this ended up being to my mental image of him. Tried to draw Caladan Brood a few weeks ago and somehow my concept and the finished drawing were completely different!

I have met the situation as well. And I think each time one draws a character, it will be more and more closer to the mental image.
