Description An interesting enemy in Breath of the Wild are the Yiga clan, a group of ninja who were formerly part of the Shiekah who basically join Ganon's side and want nothing more than to kill the hero (aka Link)
When you first encounter one and defeat them, for some odd reason they drop Bananas. When you finally find the Yiga hideout in the Gerudo's territory, you find that their hideout is just filled with Bananas! Hell they even put some in a chest and make it look important!
For some reason the Yiga are as Obsessed with Bananas as Minions are, heck during the stealth mission, dropping bananas near a Yiga guard, they just get all giddy and go after the bananas, allowing you to sneak passed (cause trying to fight them will kill you, even overriding mipha's revive)

So with that in mind, I made the Yiga clan into Despicable me minions, cause both are banana crazy XD I'm sure minions would join the Yiga clan just for their bananas XD

so anyways comment and enjoy
Legend of Zelda belongs to Nintendo
Minions belong to Illumination entertainment

I always figured they were obsessed with Mighty Bananas because of the power boost they gave... but I like the joke here.

who knows why they love em so much, though one disguised yiga tries make you buy one for 99 rupees. so they definitely prize bananas greatly

Yeah... yesterday, I had way more rupees than I needed, so... I bought them all. I don't know why I did... but I sold most of them again afterwards along with some gemstones and got my money back, with interest.

Most of the things I do in video games, I could never get away with in real life... I think I just bought them because I could. I really need to work on my impulse control...

I did not bother with sneaking. I was bad at that. So I killed them. The end.

good work, for me though it was tough cause i always got caught in the 2nd room where there were like 4 big yiga guys, and since i had only like 7 hearts they OHKO'd me every time. So eventually after like 7 tries i got the stealth down and got to Kohga

though after the mission, those big yigas give some good weapons. Though i tend to just deal with em with bomb arrows

In the mission (I completed it last night before I commented) I used ancient arrows. They completely destroy anything

I only got one of those >< and I'm saving it for a special occasion, namely lightningblight ganon if i manage to get him beyond half health

I tried finding Robbie (whom i hear was the guy who has those) yesterday, but did not know where he was, though through some exploring i think he's near goron country, which means ill have to wait to meet him (unless it's actually behind hyrule castle)

He is in the area between zora and goron lands. so not behind the castle

ah, good to know
though if my idea for defeating lightningblight fails, i might have to try and look into that area, because well i decided to do the gorons last since it's the only one left once i bet vah nabooris

yea definitely, I really had to focus to defeat it! Shield bashing the laser did nothing so i was lucky i got a perfect dodge to defeat it!

Afterwards I ended up beating fireblight in just one go, mainly because Urbosa's Fury is really OP in boss battles! hell that powerup's the only reason i beat that fire sheild in the second phase of fireblight, idk what else i coulda done

You were confused too in the fire shield phase? Ihad not gotten Urbosa's fury yet.

Also Urbosa's fury makes Eventide island easy

yea i had no idea how to stop the fire shield, I figured i'd get axed off but if i did I had 2 different revives on me so it wasn't worth axing myself off for it; Eventually i gave up and used used urbosa's power and it worked, idk how you can do it without that power, only thing i can think of alternatively may be using Revali's gale to fan the flames upwards, but idk if that'd work. (bomb arrows DEFINITELY will NEVER work on fireblight)

You needed to throw bombs at the boss when it was sucking air. I discovered this by living long enough for daruk's hints to become obvious enough

oh, welp at least bombs have a use outside of doing small damage to most enemies then

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Ekjk In reply to kingofthedededes73 [2017-04-05 21:44:22 +0000 UTC]

If it sucks, throw bombs at it. Β Also bombs can be used to ride the metal carts in the goron area.

I mostly use bombs for 3 reasons: when it's needed for a dungeon puzzle or shrine puzzle, to mine ore, and to blow up bokoblins in their skull caves cause they stupidly leave explosives in their homes XD

JXDemon [2017-03-21 17:38:51 +0000 UTC]

That pretty much fits. Then again the leader of rhe Yiga clan is just as crazy if not stupid levels of funny.

kingofthedededes73 In reply to JXDemon [2017-03-21 17:44:18 +0000 UTC]

yea lol It's interesting how the Yiga went from this scary ambush enemy to becoming rather hard to take seriously once you get to their base. Though still those giant ones will kill you if they see you...
Their leader is just plain dumb, you don't even technically defeat him, he ends up icing himself off from sheer stupidity and gravity XD

Though to be honest i nearly did die to him when i faced him, namely because i ran outa arrows during his 2nd phase, and Mipha had to revive me when i was going to give up, then i realized I had a lizal boomerang in my inventory and used that to beat on him and realized what to do in the 2nd phase from that xp

I swear Anouma and the other devs were watching Despicable me while they were in the middle of developing the Yiga

kingofthedededes73 In reply to White-seed [2017-04-01 12:20:20 +0000 UTC]

Mipha's Grace can be used once every half an hour after you lose all hearts, She heals you instantly and you get 5 temp hearts, it then goes dormant for half an hour [while the game is on]

Probably was an inspiration for the Yiga. Though I still see them as easy to hate especially since they introduce another stealth mission in the game.

kingofthedededes73 In reply to JXDemon [2017-03-21 19:00:19 +0000 UTC]

yea
though i do find the stealth mission's rewards to be kinda funny, the Yiga put a banana in a chest that is sitting in the middle of the last room as a trick, when i first saw it, I thought it'd be the thunder helm, found a banana in the chest, and thought it was a trick room, only in the second go did i notice the buried chests and that a wall could be magnetically moved

Yeah I saw a video of that too. Sucks I can't play BTW yet since I don't have a Switch or Wii U. I won't be able to buy a Switch until August or so.
