Nuka, Vitani & Kovu!

Unfortunately just like his lion counterpart, Nuka passes on, hence why later on we see a memorial tattoo on Vitani’s neck to honour her late brother.

I don’t like talking of death as it’s not the brightest subject to talk about, but I think he passed away after an accident.

In this AU, Kovu is a keen motorcyclist, so I had the idea that he passed on after joining Kovu on his own motorcycle (Nuka had one too, being taught by Kovu to ride one). Unfortunately he fell off the motorcycle, and passed away. Kovu was blamed for Nuka’s death by their mother, Zira.

Nuka, the eldest sibling, is Kovu & Vitani’s half brother, all sharing the same mother but with different fathers. Kovu & Vitani are full siblings, with Kovu being the youngest, just like their lion counterparts!

All three were raised in turbulent conditions, and were mistreat by their mother, Nuka especially. Kovu has the scar on his eye from previous trauma but was always the ‘favourite’, favoured over his siblings for being the youngest.

As for now, after the passing of Zira, Vitani & Kovu are closer than ever before. They have a good brother/sister bond, staying strong and supporting each other, as well as both of them eventually finding happiness with their new partners (Kopa & Kiara, respectively).

Vitani is wearing a ‘Van Halen’ hoodie, another fave band of hers (and Kovu’s!) Not drawn by me, but taken from Google.
