Vitani sighed. Her ear twitched as she heard pawsteps. Without looking, she knew it was Kopa.

“Morning. Did you sleep well?” Kopa asked, smiling at her and joining her by her side, his gaze shifting to the lands below.

Vitani didn’t reply. For a few moments, they were silent as she continued to stare into the distance, not making eye contact with Kopa. Noticing something was troubling her, he asked, "Are you alright?"

Vitani bit her lower lip. She wasn't sure what she was feeling right now...except that she liked Kopa. She wanted to see him happy, to see him smile at her, and to comfort and protect him. He complemented her in unexpected ways, and she couldn't deny she felt different around him. She was gradually realizing she couldn't see a future without him.

Is this love? She'd never really felt this way before.

She took a deep breath before shifting her position, placing her head beneath Kopa's chin, and saying, "Princey, I...I love you."

Kopa was startled for a split second before a smile spread across his face. Warmth filled his chest as he nuzzled Vitani back. "I love you too, Kipenzi," he murmured.

He really wasn’t expecting that 🥲 No wonder because the feeling of ‘love’ was foreign to Vitani, given she never experienced it before until she met Kopa 💖
