Following on from this piece:

Kovu and Kiara had just left the cave. It was now dusk, and the evening was starting to settle in. The sky began to glitter with a sheet of stars. Out in the open of the savannah the young couple shared a tender moment together, snuggling and expressing their feelings for one another.

"Thank you for everything, Kiara. I owe you a lot. You have helped me realise the right path in life. I now feel my life is complete. All I need is you." Kovu nuzzled Kiara "As for the scar, well... during the ambush... Nuka wasn't so lucky. And Zira didn't take it well." He then sighed, he had just lost his brother, but the overwhelming feelings he had for Kiara overshadowed that.

"Thank you for being so open to me, Kovu." Kiara smiled, but then her tune changed after hearing what had happened to Kovu's brother during the ambush "I'm sorry to hear about Nuka, but you shouldn't blame yourself. It was an accident. I'm sure you were just trying to do the right thing."

Then thinking about the scar, Kiara added "And don't worry about your scar. I love you, scar or no scar. We should go back to Pride Rock soon. Hopefully I will get my father to see sense."

"I sure hope so." Kovu sighed looking up to the sky "How about we stay out here for a little while, just the two of us? Then I guess we can see about going back, if your family will accept me, that is."

Kovu then added "But I'd like to thank you, Kiara. For saving me."

The couple shared a snuggle together, in peace with the night.

I love this couple so much! I won't ever get tired of drawing them Colours for this scene were inspired from this screenshot from SP. And I was listening to this song called 'Serengeti' while drawing it. It made me feel in peace...
