Description There was a time we had to find a peculiar breed of immortals. Could go on with practically any wound. Cut off their heads, pierce their hearts and they just kept coming. Many of ours were lost these days. Then... these things appeared. We never knew what they were and can't tell we cared... Besides, I wouldn't call us the brightest fellows, heh heh. The only thing that mattered was their performance. When they grabbed a victim with all those spikes, hooks and claws there was no escape. And it was just the beginning - you see - afterward, that axe-like tail came into action. These things lashed like mad scorpions cutting through the flesh, bone, armor and soil alike. Even after all those years, you can still find gashes in the old rock where one of them got their prey. They could not kill the immortals but they did make sure the pieces they leave won't be able to act anymore.

Oh, what happened with the pieces, later you ask? They were taken. All of them. What happened to them later I do not know, but like I said I am not one of the brightest. But HE does have right ones under him too, not just us, the fools.  Wherever they took them they surely were put to good use... I bet we'll see them again. You remember my words!

A jeśli te kawałki potem składają w jedno wielkie monstrum? ...

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to niggiddu [2017-07-12 21:32:42 +0000 UTC]

No nie, jednak łuki były dłużej w użyciu.

Neat pic with that brings many different forms from the animal kingdom in mind. The arms remind of both bat patagia and mantis claws, and as funny as this might sound, the head makes me think of a pelican of all things. The elongated body helps giving it rooms for all kinds of things - like aloe-like growths and the axe-like bladed tail. For some reason, I would like to see insect-like trachea on its sides.
It certainly is a unique design!

So this is the ax-head/tail thing n a blob? I had an eldritch sort of dream that I'd hope to share with you and joe sometime later.

Well, the head is the elongated sword-like part, the tail is axe shaped.

So were these things assembled from the harvested parts of the immortals?
Also, amazing work, the way it is posed immediately gives an impression of "ready to strike".

No, no.. they came before immortals started to die. And were perfectly mortal. That is, if you could kill one before you were in pieces!

Dunno what MTG is. It's based on my design from 7 or so years ago.

MTG is an acronym for "Magic: the Gathering." It's a trading card game.

Haha! KOR your prose is admirable! Very good stuff! For a beginner you're damn good man. Lots of character and personality in this monologue, and the descriptions of the monsters and their horrific acts, coming one after another, read so smoothly. I love it! Can't wait to see what other works of prose you make. And who knows, maybe you too will become an author!
