The late John Glasby didn't use established guidelines. His general depiction of a mythos god, was some worse than formless horror that, upon your summoning or awakening it (from some book whose text is faded in many places...), grabs and EATS you !
He said , in some book lost for countless millenia, that winged limpet-like beings * bore him with them when they migrated to earth. There they built the insanely angled city of Yuth at the junction of two rivers,in a region now long overwhelmed by fire, quake and flood and is now undersea east of the Carolinas.
He was housed in the central temple. Even after the death of his worshippers (abominable ceremonies) he waits for prey.
* The writer does not describe said deities, but starts sceaming hysterically .

I don't think so.
He did 2 stories that I did not read because I had become satiated with mythos fan-fiction and so did NOT buy the book on new such tales.
They were "The Dark Mirror" and "The Keeper of Dark Point". The former has been quoted from. Somebody is being dragged to the fire-god Cthugha. I know of him and his fire minions from Derleth's THE DWELLER IN DARKNESS set in Wisconsin where Nyarlathotep had his summer home. The story reads like a pot-boiler written just to keep WEIRD TALES alive a bit longer.

A pic of him in Peterson's Guide to Mythos Monsters shows him as obese, mamallian in aspect (said to be a concession to earth standards of evolution) and with moobs. He is contentedly nibbling on a human femur.
His best friend had been Eibon.

He is usually portrayed in a comedic manner, I went for horror instead.

How did I miss this?! To be honest, I never cared for Tsathoggua because all renditions of it never peaked my interest until now. You are actually the first person that created him in a way that makes him truly scary, and so now I can see it can live up to its lore.

Yeah! If you're going to draw a monster, draw a monster and the funny thing is, with this "thing" you succeeded where so many have failed.

UltraBizarre. I'd hate to be that piece of ground upon which he squats. And those rolls of fat - ich, perfect. Kinda reminds me more of a bat face than a toad, but well done. CAS would love it!

Tsathoggua is like the unofficial mascot of the Wordl-Of-Zothique channel. So many versions. ^^
But, I like this iteration a lot. I also think you've progressed so much in your coloring. This just looks great.

The Crawling Eye?
Skoro to strachy lat 80. to slasherowy zabójca by się przydał.

Haha. Goddamn. Funny as he is, I think this is one of the scariest pictures you've posted, and definitely enhanced by the coloring. All that wrinkly skin and hair, and those freaky eyes above that toothy mouth. And it's all dark. Freaky.
In "The Horror of the Museum," Lovecraft described him as shape-shifting from this form into another,
"Black Tsathoggua moulded itself from a toad-like gargoyle to a sinuous line with hundreds of rudimentary feet."
Have you considered drawing that creepy-crawly form?

I didn't think of that, but maybe.
And thanks!
