Description Son of mortal woman and an Outer God, Yog Sothoth Everything is exlained in the quote.

"He was, however, exceedingly ugly despite his appearance of brilliancy; there being something almost goatish or animalistic about his thick lips, large-pored, yellowish skin, coarse crinkly hair, and oddly elongated ears."
(...)
"Above the waist it was semi-anthropomorphic; though its chest, where the dog’s rending paws still rested watchfully, had the leathery, reticulated hide of a crocodile or alligator. The back was piebald with yellow and black, and dimly suggested the squamous covering of certain snakes. Below the waist, though, it was the worst; for here all human resemblance left off and sheer phantasy began. The skin was thickly covered with coarse black fur, and from the abdomen a score of long greenish-grey tentacles with red sucking mouths protruded limply. Their arrangement was odd, and seemed to follow the symmetries of some cosmic geometry unknown to earth or the solar system. On each of the hips, deep set in a kind of pinkish, ciliated orbit, was what seemed to be a rudimentary eye; whilst in lieu of a tail there depended a kind of trunk or feeler with purple annular markings, and with many evidences of being an undeveloped mouth or throat. The limbs, save for their black fur, roughly resembled the hind legs of prehistoric earth’s giant saurians; and terminated in ridgy-veined pads that were
neither hooves nor claws."

Awesome work! Due to it being one of the most...vivid descriptions in Lovecraft and indeed in fiction, this character is a goldmine for artists!

Today happens to be Wilbur Whateley's 102nd birthday. On American time, he turned it just about two hours ago.

Also mine!

His body, once he was dead, rotted away even as one looked, and left only a white sticky mess. Nothing for the Mutter Museum to store and study. (the museum is in Mass.,not far from ARkham or Dunwich.)

Yep, unfortunately all those alien things tend to rot away as soon as they die.

Anyway, I made a mistake. the Mutter Museum is in Philadelphia.

Another example of alien things rotting is in a RPG where you can kill one of the thousand Young . As it rots, it poisons the ground and nothing will grow there for decades . Also it not only has physical attack, but may summon a Hunting Horror (something like a jabberwock !)to come after you, if you escape.

When Wilbur Whately's brother was destroyed , nothing grew right again in the area .

Żeby przetrwać musisz sie do nich upodobnić.

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to katakraos [2013-02-10 16:36:13 +0000 UTC]

I'd rather say they both were tragic characters.

Just think about it living in an alien environmennt surrounded wth nothing but hostile beings, having no one but your brother by your side and knowing that only ones that are your true kingd live aeons away.,...

And those unkind humans that don't know their proper place and don't let be ruled and destroyed as them should be...

Pity them...

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to katakraos [2013-02-10 17:56:41 +0000 UTC]

yes. From aour point of view they are bad guys because theeir purposes contradict ours.

But for them we're just aliens who took their lands from them.

katakraos In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2013-02-10 18:54:55 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to katakraos [2013-02-10 18:59:12 +0000 UTC]

Well even lovecraft himslef said they aren't in the "gates of silver key" saying that they do kill humans but it is more like when an elephant stomps on a worm, totally meaningless to them.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

katakraos In reply to KingsOfEvilArt [2013-02-10 19:06:03 +0000 UTC]

So their evil gets to a totally new level we are not prepared to understand O_o

He looks like a zombie. xD I really like how you drew the tentacles and the second pair of eyes, and how you've made his skin look so coarse and unwashed.

BassoeG In reply to dark-precipice [2018-05-08 22:56:32 +0000 UTC]

I know. Most depictions of Wilbur ignore the "leathery, reticulated hide of a crocodile or alligator" on his chest and back. Getting his inhuman anatomy right and giving him something almost segmented and cartilaginous around the stomach part of why I like this picture as well as the depictions of him done by ValhaHazred and JeffRussell so much.

Old good Willy.

Your's is very cute but I've always imagined him as being extremely disgusting.

As for the lower part i tried to making it sort of Twin's body in rudimentary fashion.[link]

I am thinking also f drawing Lavinia with both of them as babies.
