Description
I've found this little guy on the beach, nearly dead. LIkely it was washed from the nearby river during recent great storms. Fortunately under my warm touch it came back to life.
It even looked for shelter within my sleeve

I think it is safe to say that 'birds evolved from reptiles' rather than saying 'birds are reptiles'. Then there is no point in this sentence ---- 'Archaeopteryx being part bird and part reptile'.

I guess you cannot call it a "fact" really. Beauty is a very subjective factor... You cannot objectivly call something beautiful or not. And I personally think that scaly perfection of reptiles greatly surpasses mammals and most birds. (but I do love ravens.)

poor thing, some kind of water snake it looks like. How cold was it outside?

It was quite warm perhaps 20 - 25 celcius degrees but the water was really cold. This guy was quite lucky that I've found him instead of some idiot that would have killed it. It was so cute when it hid within my sleeve for some time before I released it.
