Description A companion of Sun Wukong on the journey to the west, gluttonous and perverted. Β He is armed with magical, nine-pronged rake and generally serves as a comical element of the story. Mostly because Sun keeps trolling him all the time.

He is known for his great strength and appetite. Before joining Sun WukongΒ he was a ferocious man-eater.

It's the japanese name for the same character just like Goku is the same name for Sun Wukong. Huge asian culture and mythology nerd here.

Sha Gojo or Sha Gojyo. if you're a fan of anime as well check out Sayuki it's based off of Journey to the West but with it's own spin on things. It's pretty good though the fanbase for it is like any other fan base and tends to make the show look bad in almost any light with how rabid they get.

I don't know of its' online, got mine on Amazon. It wasn't expensive so you could look for it there. This translation is called 'Monkey' and its by Penguin Classics.
