A top ace in the newly emerged Order of Anastasius Focht, Aeneas is one of the privileged few Knights who bear the familial name of the Order’s near-legendary founder. While one may assume him to be a young man, in reality Aeneas is much older than he appears, with a past few outside the Order’s inner circle are even aware of. Born Joseph Cameron III in 2750, Aeneas, or rather Joseph, was the youngest child of First Lord Simon Cameron and brother of Richard Cameron II, the tragic final ruler of Star League. With the death of his father in New Silesia only months after his birth, Joseph spent most of his early childhood in the care of his mother Lady Jessica Drillson as well as his older sisters Elizabeth and Helena, all of whom adored the young Prince. With Richard becoming the new First Lord of Star League at such an early age, Joseph had little to no interaction with his brother for most of his childhood. As Joseph grew older he began spending more time around the men and women of the Camerons elite personal bodyguard, the Royal Black Watch Regiment, he especially became close with a young graduate of the Regiment’s Gunslinger Program, one Suzanne Arnot. Joseph had no intention of entering Politics and while admiring the military, he also had no intention of making a career in the SLDF beyond his required years of service, instead his interest was in Mechanical Engineering as the Prince wished to work on the next generation of BattleMech design. However Joseph’s life changed forever on December 26, 2766 when his brother’s most trusted adviser Stefan Amaris murdered Richard and launched a coup which would also see the death of his mother, sisters, and infant niece. Touring the capital’s universities on the day of the infamous Throne Room Massacre, Joseph’s bodyguards managed to protect the Prince while the city around them became engulfed by clashes between the rebel forces of the Rim Worlds Republic and those of the Black Watch ever loyal to the Camerons. Suzanne remained at the Prince’s side as they attempted to get him to safety, even as more of her comrades fell in the process. Eventually the group was forced to take refuge in one of the university buildings dealing with experiments in theoretical physics, there they met Dr Anton Rosenberg who attempted to lead them out of the Capital via the underground tunnels though along the way they were ambushed by Rim World Forces who expected as much. With few other options and only Suzanne remaining with Joseph, Dr Rosenberg sealed them in one of the experimentation rooms. Here the institute had been conducting experiments into time dilation as a means of attaining a form of suspended animation for deep space voyage, the university had built a functioning prototype chamber which Rosenberg offered use of to Joseph and his companion as their only means left of survival, he assured them that once inside they would be safe and that as soon as the crisis passed he would come back to wake them. Joseph would accept the Doctor’s offer, and with that he and Suzanne entered their pods and were lowered into the hibernation chamber, though with the situation rapidly deteriorating above, the two would remain there for much longer than either of them believed. In the year 3081, over 300 years after the Amaris Coup and fall of the Star League, the elder Anastasius Focht led a small band of loyal followers beneath the ruins of Unity City. In the aftermath of the Word of Blake Jihad and downing of the HPG network, Anastasius foresaw a dark age for the Inner Sphere which would prove more disastrous for Mankind than even the Succession Wars. With his own life rapidly coming to an end, Anastasius wished to leave behind a legacy which could save Humanity from what was to come, he had laid the groundwork for such an organization over the last 20 years of his life and with the knowledge privy to himself and few others within ComStar, he reawakened the Inner Sphere’s last hope for a brighter future. Joseph woke to a world dramatically different from the one he had left, in spite of this he was driven by a singular purpose in the vision of Anastasius to not just reform the Star League, but build a new order that could restore lasting peace and stand the test of time. Renaming himself after the ancient Trojan Prince who led his people to a new home in the aftermath of their darkest hour, and that of the man who had mentored him in his dying months, Joseph now Aeneas Focht became one of the first recruits of the Order. For the next 200 years the Organization would grow in strength and numbers, operating from inside of a pocket dimension discovered from ComStar’s own experiments into Time Dilation, Aeneas and his fellow Knights would train for years at a time as only days passed within the dimension. With decades of training, observation, sabotage, and development of advanced technology, by January of 3225 the Order was finally ready to make its presence known to the Inner Sphere, piloting a new Land-Air BattleMech known as the Gaia MK-II, Aeneas took part in the Order’s surgical strike on all forces partaking in offensive military operations across the Inner Sphere. Aeneas himself was sent to the Caselton System where he and his BattleMech single handedly decimated an entire Capellean invasion force attempting to capture the system. Only weeks later he would take part in a strike on the Wolf Empire’s garrison on New Olympia, sparking a planetary revolt of the population and forcing the fleet of Prince Mikhail Kerensky to lift the Siege of Atreus. Though as the Imperial Fleet advanced through the Ionus System it would be ambushed by the Order with Aeneas once again in the vanguard. As Mikhail attempted to bide time under the guise of a surrender, Aeneas boarded his flagship in a suit of Battle Armor and fought the genetically enhanced Prince in single combat, in the end Aeneas proved victorious, killing Mikhail, eliminating one of the largest Imperial fleets, and rescuing the recently captured Theresa Marik.
