I recently rewatched this short anime called Orange. It's 13 episodes long, but it has such a beautiful and emotional story. It covers heavy topics really well and for all the tears, it has a happy ending. I recommend it! After finishing I had to draw the friend group happy together. I tried to mimic the style of the show a bit, with a mix of my own style.
