Wonder Woman was amazing. Congrats to Gal Gadot, Patty Jenkins, and the entire cast and crew. Don't get me wrong, on the Marvel side, Thor is my dude. Can't wait for Ragnarok. But it's so much cooler to see WW laying the smackdown on Thor (who was probably super cocky about it before the fight began)Related content

If we are just talking about the movies then it is implied that he has more fighting experience and a much more powerful weapon but judging from the fight-scenes in the movies then I must agree with you that she would beat him. She has only really had trouble with a giant monster (that even Superman couldn't beat alone) and a fellow god. Thor however had trouble fighting Iron Man and some robots. Thor Ragnarok might change things but I actually doubt it.Β
I think the big difference is that the Marvel movies are trying to pull Thor down to be closer in power to the rest of the Avengers while DC is doing the opposite, showing that Wonder Woman is on the same level as someone like Superman.
