To celebrate the Queen's Jubilee I decided to draw a little British mermaid.
Think it would be fun to draw other mermaids with different countries' flags.

maybe I am extremely naieve (more so than I would originally think until this point), but why does the queen celebrate a "jubilee?" I thought such events were only for those in the sisterhood of the catholic church.. again, very naieve, perhaps, but I am not sure I understand the concept. Is it a celebration of coronoation? Otherwise, I would guess something of such a magnitude would be more like an anniversary?..
