PIXEL ART!!yes thats right, i *kinkei actually did some pixel art! first time for everything.
2day in work i was learing how to do pixel art for an old school type game so tonight i decided to put my new pixeling skills to action with one of my long lash ladies.
I have to say that all u pixel artist must have a lot of patience, It takes soooo long 2 do this type of art! My brain has actually melted!!
Any tips or crit is very welcome.

YAY! Pixel art! Did you use a tool for transparency or did you do them yourself? How much time did it take?
Did you do it straight as pixel art, or did you sketch and "Pixel" over it?

i did them myself, it took forever at least 1 couple of hours!!! i sketched it into photoshop first then worked ontop. is that cheating 4 true pixel art?! if so i amit it!

Artists that can draw do that usually, but people who are only pixel artists do it from scratch!

I'd like to see you try this pic for a dev avatar. The smaller it gets the more difficult it is... But also good results are lovely.

aww thank you, i just used lighter and darker tones and kept all the lines u would normally get rid of like the stone floor line and the tail all i did was lighted the line. if u get me? its all an experiment and some bits worked and others didnt.

good tip, i was going 2 outline diffent colours but then i got sleepy and i'd ben doing it 4 ages so i thought i'd save that till next time. if i do another pic like this that is.

Art school has a tendency to burn you out just a little bit. I've been drawing circles lines and boxes now for two weeks and I feel like I need to ice my hand

omg for me I'm fed up with both: as far as vector goes, I can't learn the pen tool to save my life. I don't know what it is; I'm hoping that when I have to take a photoshop class I learn because it sucks going through my courses atm having to use it, and not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

Its really good for a first time! lol A tip for you is use your pen tool! Just change the settings to "pencil" and uncheck the "simulate pressure" button, and voila! Just make sure you clean up your lines before continuing on to colour. It makes working on a larger scale, like this, a whooole lot easier
