Yes Capt. John would have made things exceedingly better! But then again that's just James Marsters' way, I saw 'The Capture of the Green River Killer' where James played Ted Bundy and OMG! I've never understood why all those girls followed ol' Bundy to their deaths, however if he reall looked like James I'd be so very dead right now! LOL!
