The idea behind this project was to work on the same character I painted a portrait of a while back, but this time the client wanted her on a full scene with a gloomy mood.
Her name's Amlyn Fairweather, and in the scene she's at rocky mountains, travel-weary in a hostile environment.
Around her we can see the snow starting to fade away, the sun shining through the clouds and hitting part of the scene. There are a couple of not so fresh bodies and a leafless tree.
The mood was inspired by my favorite game - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - as I tried to capture the feeling we have riding Roach through Velen, strong wind moving the grass and trees, patches of sunlight hitting the environment just before a storm blasts in.
I learned a lot while painting this project and it was an amazing experience to work on the scene.
