Description A WIP (work in progress) so its not all smooth and pretty yet.

A project for my class is to create a narrative in clay. I chose a childhood memory of my imaginary creature friend and Dennis was a sky dragon that was the clouds. Here I portrayed him as an eastern dragon even though he could be all types.

wow thats amazing and your welcome. ive tryed to make dragons out of clay but their really hard. i have made two but they look like manga styled dragons more than realstic ones. it kind of makes me mad that i havent been able to make a realstic looking one but im not giving up on it. is their some techque you used or something that you think makes it a bit easyer?

Yes, in fact inside of the dragon is a newspaper skeleton and tape. So I first built the form of the dragon out of paper than proceeded to wrap flat pieces of clay around it building up thickness and shape where it is needed. but This technique is for kiln fire clay, if you are using air dry or oven bake clay I am not sure of the results at the end.
