I heard the news yesterday on the radio and I was.. speechless. shocked. sad. woke up this morning with Linkin Park lyrics in my head so I caved and listened to Shadow of the Day (and immediately started crying). but if there's one thing this man has taught me, it's that you can channel your pain into something better, something that others can appreciate, something beautiful. and if there's one thing I've learned about mourning, it's that talking to others heals just as much as letting time pass.

but yeah. this is a speedpaint dedicated to an artist whose impact on my life i didn’t even realize until he was gone. and a request to everyone reading this: remember how important your life is, keep fighting your battles until you win, and look out for the people around you. don’t wait to find out whether or not they’re okay.
