Description
Magnolia Crescent, in an alley between a fence and a garage Sirius’s gets his first look at his grown godson.I loved this moment of the book after I had finished the whole thing and understood it all.
I had some major debates on how I wanted to crop this image. Originally it was meant to be more of a painting depicting an entire scene, rather than focusing on the character. But, in the end I decided that there just wasn’t a whole lot going on around Sirius other than more of the garage and the top of the fence and I ultimately I decided to make this more about Sirius. It probably was a mistake as this tends to ‘cheapen’ my original vision of the image.
I have an un-cropped version that I might submit in place of this one or just upload it in the scrapbook section, just so people can at least see what I was going for, I don’t quite know yet.

I really love this picture. I don't believe I've ever seen Padfoot drawn this well! I love your style, especially the shading and the eyes.
I love this picture, but for some odd reason, it makes me want to cry. Possibly because Sirius is gone now, and he is my favorite character in HP...I don't know. But, it's a wonderfully drawn picture!

I didn't use a refrence pic for this image, no. I actually don't usually use refrence pics. sometimes i look at skeletons of an animal, but that's all. If I use a pic for refrence you would know it, i would mention something in the description of the image. Gotta give credit you know

Very nicely done! My only comment is that it seems very dark to me. I could see only a little more than eyes on my monitor. I took it into Adobe to lighten it, and maaan, the forms that appeared! Beautiful stuff!

Possibly. I know, for instance, the monitors here at my college (which I lovingly call "Helga U," and yes, if you know me, that is a loving name)are set lighter. I can see it better here, but it still seems dark to me. I dunno.

I love it! i think you should have kept it uncropped. It would still have been a piece about Sirius/Padfoot/etc. since he would've been the subject of the piece anyways, and we all could've seen him. (I hope that makes sense...) By the way, the shading rocks!

lol when i first viewed it, i had my monitor set at it's darkest setting so all I could see was his eyes. I was like "What the?" then i fixed it so it's all cool now.

That's a lovely rendition! I always do love your CG work. Although, I always pictured him in that scene a little more fearsome! Heehee. Although, probablyfrom HIS perspective he probably doesn't look as bad as the shadows and the like make him out to be.
