Description I haven't done anything this past week because my tablet pen broke, but my new one came in the mail today so I'm as back as I'll ever be.

Arend is a Meerkat who works as a shepherd along a mountain range.

Too lazy to type anything else.

I sorta thought he was a girl too. It was the face that did it. When I saw he didn't have big boobs I knew he was male. X"DDD

but really, he looks awesome. I love the eyes and the hairstyle especially.

Like I told you earlier, darling, I love how this turned out. The coloring is eye catching, simple, and beautiful. There's a serene feeling to this design that feels soothing. From the line art, to body language, expression, colors, ect this is a very lovely peice! I sincerly hope to see more of this character!

As more anatomy, I think yo pulled off the male, yet not super masculine raits fantasticly! He lacks girl hips, is at good proportions. And "breasts"? No, no, no. He does not have any. I see the defined line of the chest, but men have a rip cage and structure, so it evens out perfectly.

I see you improving everytime you make something new like this! Please post moe later! I look forward to it!

I'm so glad you like Arend! He's definitely going to be sticking around, and my instinct for coloring and anatomy is certainly improving.

xD Ah shit, he's male. I'm no good at drawing guys. Though I did intend to make him look feminine... maybe I should run with it, lmao.

No, I just drew him to start and decided to follow with the clothing after having absolutely nothing to do today, lol.

Oh... I understand making your guys look feminine but honestly it looks like he has wide hips and small breasts, so he really looks like a girl. Thin, narrow shoulders and his thin neck also give him a really girly look. he has a round, little cute face that also makes him look like a girl. Also if he had less of an hourglass shape, he may not look so much like a woman... xP

I know you wanted him to look feminine, but if he IS a guy, try giving him more manly traits. Hope that helps. P=

I disagree about the wide hips. He's tall for his age without much fat to accomodate the size of his frame. His waist is only large enough to fit muscled legs and a realistic pelvis.

As for breasts, they're clearly defined in the picture as relatively streamlined along with the definition of depressions in the chest that comes with a lack of breasts on a male's body.

His face is quite feminine, I can attest.

Mostly, you don't see such depressions on a male's chest unless they've been working out their pecs.

I think you could help tone done the hourglass figure by making his waist a bit wider to match the width of his pelvic area. And again, widening his shoulders would certainly help him look more male.

Of course, these are only suggestions... I'm just letting you know.

The distinction the recession of the ribcage makes on that part of the body at that age is more significant than at others.

The upper waist is typically the slimmest way around the torso of a prepubescent boy, so even in young males there is a wide distinction between where the middle and lower parts of the body connect.

Well, of course. We're all furthering each other's knowledge of anatomy.
