Indeed. Practicing a lot until your eyes hurt sure gives its best
You know? I also love this new style of coloring. Sketching first with red on opacity at 50%, erase after with the same opacity, retrace with the dark color pallete of skin, eyes, hair, mouth, nose, arms, legs and dress, erase the sketch lines, and then in 2 to 3 layers color and shade (since I use colors 3D it just gives me up to 5 layers so I must give the best XD; I think I found my own style XD 
She's one of my most favorite human Sonic girls; too bad she's now an angel ;/////; I can feel the Shadow feelz
I thought I was going to suck at digital

I think that fanart of Maria is always touching because of her story ;O; but heyyy you know how a lot of sonic artists improve? Making fan comics! If you want, you can write your own story (it can be simple) and try to draw it out ^^ through the process you'll learn about viewing angle, shading, etc :'3
