This is actually a pretty old art piece (made it back in February I believe), I was selling it at some conventions for a little while. Probably not gonna be doing that anymore, or at least not for a while, so figured I'd submit it here.

Despite all the flack Yu-Gi-Oh! gets (and understandably so) I think there IS some artistic merit behind it, specifically with the main characters. I really like Yugi and his friends, as opposed to the more "beautiful" characters like Kaiba and Marik (not that they don't have some interesting qualities too). Specifically Yugi himself, I find to be really intriguing, since I like characters with split personalities and deep issues that're linked to them. I wish they had focused a bit more on Yugi and "Yami Yugi" being two sides of the same coin, as opposed to them being two separate characters. The Egyptian stuff was really cool, but once "the Pharaoh" stuff got a bit overwrought, I thought some of what made the character really interesting was lost. Meh.

Anyway, I also threw in Yugi's pals down there in the card suits. They could've turned out a little better, although I like Bakura's sickly sort of expression down there. Maybe I'll do another Yu-Gi-Oh! picture someday, since some of the "thematic" characters like Weevil/Haga and Rex/Ryuzaki look pretty fun to draw.
