I KNOW RIGHT, MERLIN'S THE CUTEST.
Or were you talking about the pig? Either way.

I really love the background. I bet it was a real pain to do lol.
Also I agree about the part with different interpretations. Whenever I read books, the character looks way different in my head than they probably actually should. And if there's a movie adaptation and I look at the character there, I'll be like, "whOOAA, THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE AT ALL!"

Thank you! It was, mostly that front tree and figuring out the planes and stuff.
Right! I have this funny habit of making characters look way younger than they are, like Thomas from the Maze Runner. In my head he looked like 13, even though he was 16. (So you might imagine that I was quite horrified at movie Thomas, who looks like 20 something.) Anyway, I usually make up an image that I think suits my expectations and views on a character the best, Merlin's a smart, not super physical magician, so it seemed right to make him somewhat elfish in terms of stature and features. I'd love to be able to draw more book characters and scenes sometime.

Oh wow! creative! : D I would imagine the designs based on their personality/background too.

Yeah! Especially since characters are rarely described in the start of the book, so you just have to make up an image based on context and predisposition, and it just sort of sticks.
