Description
The third of the Dreamcrosser drawings I made for my tumblr blog finally finished. The Kirby fan character who loves flying fast, trolling innocent civilians, and constantly gambling his life away with Aege's rage. It's Saito, the oh-so-loveable wind dancer.I don't draw Saito that much, but I feel like I should more. I spent a lot of time studying various art styles of Saito to find a design for the wings that would fit perfectly. I finally came up with a design that wasn't too realistic or too flat and I am really proud of the result. The tail was really difficult to shade due to the details I tried adding in. I've never had to use a blending tool on a pattern before so the details between the two colors of the tail would keep blending together and made it difficult to recreate without having to blend again. I ended up settling on a low opacity brush with the color black to create the shading on the tail. It didn't come out how I would have wanted it to, but it was the best I could do at the time.

Thank you so much! I love these characters and still love to draw them years later. They were part of what inspired me to pursue animation so I can't stand not drawing them or telling stories with them.

Yeah I do too, but I'm thankful that they've allowed the fandom to use their characters in their own animations and it makes me happy just to see them included. Even though they don't animate much anymore, it makes me happy just to see Saito and Aege still get included in other animations from other creators, some of which are really good quality. Plus LA did upload not too long ago, which shows that at least he isn't totally gone. I'm just happy that fans have been keeping Aege and Saito alive through their own works and I love doing that as well.
If you really miss DestructionSeries though, he frequently uploads gaming videos on his other channel, Etce. They aren't animations, but you still get that humor he used in his animations there.
