Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, remember like two years ago when I showed how to draw the Eds? (kirbynat.deviantart.com/art/Ho… EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW OH MY GAWD) Two years, I can't believe it either! xD I'm going to redo all three of those, starting with our bug guy Ed here. This isn't that extensive beyond guidelines and the proportions I see and use, because to learn how to do it...you just gotta look at it and draw it, and KEEP DRAWING IT. I cannot stress that enough; just keep drawing. The more and more you look and study, the better you will get. Just look at my "art" for proof. xDEDIT: I've changed the title to "How I Draw Ed" because...well, duh, this is how I draw him. This is just a guideline; no need to follow it 100%.

I actually never use guidelines, I just start from the nose because it's the light source.

Like I said, I start from the nose then I draw the eyebrows, the eyes, measure the distance from the nose to the mouth, then draw the bottom of the chin, ears, then the top of the head.
I have a strange way of drawing figures. In my art class from Secondary school, my art teacher tried to house break me and suggested I start from the top of the head, but my way always worked so she stopped trying to house break me and just let me do my thing. She was always surprised by my results because I could still manage to draw accurate figures without guidelines. Guidelines just never work for me. *shrug*
