Guanlong is related to tyrannosaurus...

Nobody's saying it isn't. Proceratosauridae is a subgroup of Tyrannosauroidea.

Kinda reminds me of hornbills.
Keep up the good work!

Why didn't you commit to hiding all of the teeth under the lips? It looks weird to have just a bit poking out like that. Other than that these are lovely.

Facial scales are a b*tch. I often neglect them due to frustration of making them organic not coming out right. I like iguanas so I borrow a lot from those little critters. I like your choice of coloration. Guanlong seems like a grimy little sh*t, like the red-headed step-child to the Tyrannosaurus rex.Β

Haha, thanks! Yeah tell me about it, facial scales are the worst. Its part of the reason why I took such a long break before finishing this. They're so tedious, it takes forever!

I legitimately thought these were some birds in some speculative evolution scenario when I first saw this image.

Weren't they all tyrannosaurs?

They look like some kind of birds. But birds aren't dinosars.

Birds are dinosaurs. What cave have you been living in?

Straight into favourites. I think its birdlike colors what makes dinos realistic. And you get it right

There's not many pieces of artwork with them all together like that.

very true. And this isn't even all of them; Dilong, Juratyrant, Stokesosaurus, Yutyrannus, Sinotyrannus; they're Proceratosaurids too according to cladistic analysis.Β
