Once a mindless slave to a powerful priest, this Lizardman had broken free from the binds that controlled it during a mission to retrieve Soul Edge. Its memory hazy and its true name lost, the creature searched for answers to its existence.

Knowing it was a monster that frightened the humans, it secluded itself away from civilization. As time passed by days to months, it began to remember its past life. It - he - was once a human being, a knight of high caliber. And he was chosen by Hephaestus to destroy the evil sword known as Soul Edge.

But he had failed and turned into a beast. How he became unsuccessful was never answered. And his human name was never found.

He opted the dreadful name "Lizardman" to give himself an identity. Left with a human mind and a beastly body, he turned to the God who had spoken to him for help but his prayers fell on deaf ears. He had been abandoned. He had been forgotten.

For years he had wandered the eastern lands in complete solitude. Isolated from the humans, he searched for the sword that he was once sent to destroy and use it himself to exact revenge on the God who doomed him.

Information of the sword's whereabouts reached his ears when he overheard a conversation between travelers from where he hid. Rumours of Nightmare in the land of Greece had brought him back to his homeland.

Aided with only his instincts, he traveled quickly and reached the mountainous region of Hymettus. From there he had detected the scent of battle from deep within the valleys and promptly went to investigate.

He had claimed himself a fool when he reached the source of the scent. Dead, mangled bodies of Astaroth's minions were scattered throughout the valley, obviously having fallen from somewhere up on the mountains. Despite having followed a dead lead, he searched the valley of the dead for anything useful.

As fate would have it, he soon found an unexpected discovery: A boy, injured but still alive. Now how was it possible for a child to live from a fall while beasts that were stronger died so easily?

Lizardman quickly surmised that it was no mere coincidence for him to so happen to be around to save the child. He believed that it was the Gods whom devised such a fate upon him to give him a second chance.

Having been abandoned for years, he did not willfully accept the Gods' trial for redemption but instead took it into his own terms. He did not care to help the Gods, but he did choose to help the child.

Lifting the unconscious boy into his arms, Lizardman headed deeper into the valleys...

Status information: Lizardman

Age: Unknown

Likes: hunting dangerous animals for food; terrifying bandits out of their wits; sunny days

Hates: the Gods; Astaroth; the grand priest Kunpaetku

Weapons: Axe and Shield; claws and teeth

Specialty: He's a Lizardman: strong, brutal and agressive in battle. He has many forms of attacking whether it be using his one-handed axe or his own set of claws, he will not hesitate to use either to his advantage. His sense of smell is very strong. If the wind is in his favour, he can detect a drop of blood from a far distance away and can determine what creature had bled. For a long time, he had never known the fact that Lizardmen had their own language until he first heard an enslaved Cursed One speak words to him. He can understand the words spoken and through his own effort, can speak it himself.

Personality: Having secluded himself from humans for a long time, he has difficulty trying to show emotions that do not relate to battle. He lacks the ability to speak in the human tongue but is capable of providing gestures to communicate with the boy he had saved. However, most things he wishes to say can never be relayed through simple hand gestures so he becomes frustrated really easily. But the boy's presence is a satisfying change to his life for the child never showed any sign of fear from Lizardman's appearance. In fact, the boy would smile - a sign of acceptance. No longer alone, Lizardman gratefully devotes his life to protect the child from harm no matter who the child may be.

Group Relationship: He has yet to meet the other members of the group.
