Description 1. Lawful good. Undoubtedly Elliot Spencer. To be precise, Elliot from the third movie and (supposedly) before the World War I. Honest belief in law, higher order and justice included.
2. Neutral Good. Elliot of the second movie. Neutral differs from Lawful owing to their motivation not for the sake of Greater Good (law, religion, etc.) but for their heart's desire. Elliot did not have time to think over his decision or count it out - he just sacrificed himself owing to his emotions, in this case - being grateful.
3. Chaotic Good. The most difficult part. Firstly, I wanted to omit the point. Chaotic good acts with methods that might have been taken for evil (Rorschach and Punisher). But I don't remember Pinhead to suit this pattern anywhere. And suddenly I remembered Dr. Paul Gregory from the fifth movie. This smiling priest-psychologist has been Joseph's "conscience", he gently hinted at his faults, made his reconsider his behavior, tried to point at what really happened to him. But as soon as Joseph showed a glimpse of trust to that guy - BOOM! - he has been Pinhead for all this time. And his "kindness" has been a part of Joseph's torture. So we move to the next point...
4. Lawful Neutral. Pinhead of the fifth and sixth movies along with seventh and ending of the eighth movie. In accordance with this category, he cherishes law and order. People appearing in his hands, has violated the law and should be punished. He does not care for either remorse, or regrets of the victim - they mean nothing to him. There is no escape, torture cannot be softened or stopped. He just indifferently points them at why they are suffering.
5. Neutral. People who never saw the movie Hellraiser often ask me - is he good or is he bad? I often answer that he is neutral. That's true though it is a bit confusing for the people. The real monsters of the first movie were Frank and Julia, in the second - Julia and Channard, and in (goddamn) ninth movie Niko. Pinhead was merely doing his job. Without emotions, unnecessary words, just like a routine. Clive Barker created him this way.
6. Chaotic Neutral. Difficult choice too. In ended up with Pinhead-hallucination from the eighth movie. On the one hand he cuts teens into pieces, and they even did not open the box. On the other, just as Michael Mayers version of Pinhead appeared we found out that was a hallucination-dream of the main characters. As hallucinations and dreams are chaotic and illogical, they could not be either good or evil.
7. Lawful Evil. Pinhead of the fourth movie. No doubt. Talks like a villain, behaves like a villain and laughs like a villain in addition. He not only kills people who did not opened the box but also takes a child a hostage. Moreover, he wishes to conquer the world. But! He does it all not because it's his desire but because Hell needs it and he follows HELL's will.
8. Neutral Evil. Pinhead of the third movie. Honestly, I wanted to make his Chaotic first, but then I recollected something and decided to change it. You see, Neutral does evil owing to his own will, but anyway he is not crazy, they count out their abilities and desires, so they cannot do anything out-of-this-world mad. Pinhead in the third movie wishes to conquer the world, but anyway he understands that first he would require helpers, destroy the thing that can stop him, moreover, he NEVER CHALLENGED the Hell. Apart from.....
9. Chaotic Evil. Pinhead out of BOOM studio comics. Or how I call him - Evil!Elliot. I chose the picture of him in his energetic form, but in fact it does not really matter who he is - cenobite, human, one of Abaddon demon or god. He is an absolute madman. He lacks self-preservation though has enormous ego. He still wishes power and rule. More power and rule. More, more and more. For what? Just for shedding blood and mountains of corpses. And not only people, no. His madness extends even to his cenobite friends. Moreover, he attempted assassination of Leviathan! He is unable to make alliance with anyone, sooner or later he would betray even the most devoted allies. Gosh, he raped his own daughter!!! Absolutely forsaken man.

This sums it up nicely, I think.  I always thought of Pinhead (except for the third and fourth movies*) as being some-kind-of neutral in alignment.  He puts it out there in the first movie, that the Cenobites are "Angels to some, demons to others."  But the truth is that they're neither, they're part of something beyond good or evil.  They're Hell's agents, and their duty is to punish sinners.

[*As for why he's "evil" in those: in the third one, he's been separated from Ellior Spencer, and without Spencer's humanity to provide a stabilizing influence and give Pinhead something resembling a conscience or moral code, he's hellbent (pardon the pun) on conquest/destruction.  In the fourth one, he's just doing his job, and is doing what it takes to go after the Merchand bloodline.  I think he was doing it because Merchand's work posed some kind of threat to Hell.]

Nice. I wanted to do this meme and include Pinhead as Lawful Neutral, but I had no idea who to add in most of the other slots without using too many My Little Pony characters (I like variety and I don't like things becoming unbalanced).
Yeah, for Bloodlines, the only possible justification for Pinhead's actions is Angelique telling him something along the lines of, "We need to stop Merchant or we're screwed." I still think he went a little overboard, though; not my favorite in the series. Speaking of which, only two more to go, unless you think I should watch Hellworld and Revelations just to see how bad they truly are.

are you a fan of little ponies? I never watched this cartoon

Well, I think he submits the will of hell in the fourth film, because of his of speech with John Merchant, in which he says that Cenobite tired "to climb into small cracks like cockroaches and they need a large door" or something like that.

why do I never see your art?

HopelessRomantic999 In reply to kirillkirillkirill [2015-01-16 00:07:02 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I like My Little Pony, or at least Friendship is Magic (past generations are a mixed bag, from what I hear). I really like the characters and the adventures they go on. I've even seen people on this website alter the toys to look like Pinhead and other horror characters. I also like animated Disney films, Justice League, musicals, and a few other horror films outside of Hellraiser (Silence of the Lambs, Dolls, Pumpkinhead, and the 1989 version of the Phantom of the Opera with Robert Englund); I guess I like having variety in my favorites.
As for why I never post art here, I suck at drawing/using Microsoft paint (the picture of S.Q. from the Mysterious Benedict Society here is proof of that) and I don't have the time to post anything right now. I do have things I've done in art class that I may post here some day (when I figure out how to upload pictures [wow, I'm quite pathetic for not knowing how to do this; why did instagram never appeal to me?] from a camera or phone and when I don't have a lot of schoolwork), but I think I'm stronger in writing than I am in drawing or painting.

Yeah, I know. I see it on Facebook all the time. I wasn't sure who came up with the idea, or where it first came up, but if you think it's MMOPPG then I believe you.

No problem! It was lovely. I agreed with each and every one.  Especially the chaotic evil one. Geez. That is definitely Boom! Evil!Elliot. Not HR3 Pinhead. Though you'd think it would be.

Oh, and if you don't mind, I'd like to post this to my Pinhead Facebook page, as I have done with some of your other stuff. It's just what my page needs. ^_^

What I mean about 'more people'? Well, basically, whenever I share one of your pictures to my Pinhead/Pinsty Facebook pages, my followers will see them, and that would mean - since I provide the link to your account here to say you're the artist, these people would surely want to see more of your work. Therefore, you would probably gain more followers here.

Well, it's just polite to ask permission to post someone else's work on another site. I always worry I'll get accused of stealing or plagiarism. So I always state the name of the artist.

Shame you haven't had any new visitors to your page. I was hoping you would. Though I've noticed Hellraiser fans are a little slow on the uptake, or just plain rude. :/

You're welcome.

I will no longer go on drawing.  ... I'm upset with my teacher there.
I wanted to draw a portrait of Doug (for me is very early to draw portraits, I know that, but still) and my teacher said that he was "ugly", "scary", "weird", etc. Do you think I used a photo of him as Pinhead? no, it was his normally photo without makeup   . the entire group laughed at me because I draw "a freak."
I cried when I came home.

but I still think it was very rude on their part.

HopelessRomantic999 In reply to kirillkirillkirill [2015-02-12 23:16:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I'm not suggesting Doug Bradley's evil or hot headed; I kind of think of how Willy Wonka deals with rude people:
Mrs. Salt (don't remember exactly what she said): Ignore him, Veruca. He's lying to you.
Wonka: My dear old fish, go boil your head.
I think if he would probably call your teacher out for their rudeness if that was said to his face.
I really dislike rudeness; that's one of the reasons I hate high school and can't wait for college, nearly all the students here are assholes (active members of the theater department are an exception). It's like they never heard the saying, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all;" at least I'm sorry when I break this rule, these people just keep on doing it.
I also don't think Doug is ugly either; he certainly doesn't look the same as he did during the original Hellraiser film (age, cigarette use, and some weight gain since), but he's still quite attractive (I think for me it's the way he carries himself, he seems very confident).
Anyway, it's opening night for Pirates of Penzance; I hope nothing goes wrong. 🎦🎭

they had no right to call him ugly, even if he was a real freak (he is not ), because they did not know who he is, and therefore this man (theoretically) could be my relative - father, grandfather, uncle, etc.. They were rude from any point of view, so I do not go on drawing ever more.
I hope to complete the portrait on Sunday.

but I do not hate it.
the ending is very sweet.

HopelessRomantic999 In reply to kirillkirillkirill [2015-02-16 22:58:15 +0000 UTC]

There was actually part of the story in the original draft that I had to cut out since it had nothing to do with the main story.
While waiting for, Kirsty, Hecate and Surgeon to show up, the screams of the damned come through a window (hey, we never saw what Pinhead's bedroom looked like [if he even had one] so there could be a window of sorts) and startles Tiffany. Pinhead closes the window and apologizes for the disturbance, claiming that under normal circumstances it would be closed by now. Tiffany wonders why he doesn't want to hear the screams and he explains that ever since his two halves were reunited, he's been remembering mistakes he made shortly after becoming a cenobite, which ties in with another story I wanted to write.
In that story, Anya is the adopted sister of Elliot Spencer and cares about him very much. When he's reported missing after his trip to India to find the box, she does everything she can to find him again. When she opens the box, she sees Pinhead and calls him Elliot since she almost immediately recognizes his face. Unfortunately for her, he doesn't recognize her and doesn't believe her when she says he's her brother. Pretty much every friend of Elliot opens the box story except it ends with Anya being heartbroken and alone in Hell and Pinhead, while still not believing her for a second, feeling regretful about treating her so cruelly when she never did any of the things most of the other prisoners did.
Since he knows now that she was telling the truth, Pinhead can't listen to the collective screams without the human part of him reminding him that his sister is one of those people and it's his fault she's suffering. He hasn't had time to reconcile with her and/or find a way to make up for the emotional pain he caused her because of the Harroweres so all he can do is make sure the next person who opens the box is judged fairly instead of torturing them immediately.
As for the others:
Tiffany--since in this story he's had six months to get to know her, he starts thinking of her as an ally and friend.
Kirsty--he considers her a friend, too, and at one point they tried dating, but they broke up before their relationship really went anywhere when they realized that aside from both being against the Harroweres and having a strong belief in justice, they have nothing in common (in this universe only); they're still friends, though Pinhead strongly disapproves of Trevor 😉.
Other Cenobites (sans Channard and possibly Pistonhead)--they're his comrades; if they're going to work together, they're going to get along.
Joey (only mentioned, but still part of this Canon)--kind of an "enemy of my enemy" thing along with Joey having great respect for Elliot; Joey hates Pinhead, but she needs his help since she doesn't want to get killed by the Harroweres, and Pinhead isn't really fond of her either, but the human part of him says he needs to protect her too.
In short, after Hellraiser 3, Elliot has more control than Pinhead. 😜

Hi, friend.

Oh I'm so sorry you're upset, but considering what happened I honestly don't blame you for pulling out of your class. If you ask me, what your so called teacher said about Doug Bradley's physical appearance is hardly professional in any respect whatsoever, be it artistically or personally. This teacher had no right to call Doug ugly, weird, or scary. Not only is that personal but it's uncalled for. I think Doug is a delight for artists to draw, because he is a challenge. He isn't easy to draw at all. And even if you were to draw him as Pinhead it still would have been acceptable, because Pinhead is a work of art personified and hardly ugly. Your teacher should have been encouraging you to draw him, no mocking either you or Doug. Maybe your teacher should come on to this site and check out the many wonderful sketches and drawings of Pinhead and Mr Bradley, then she/he would see what real art is.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. That isn't fair. I know how it feels to be mocked and have everyone in a class laugh at you. I had that at school.

Don't cry. They're not worth it. If anyone is a freak here, it's your teacher, and the other students.

You know what? You have a go at drawing him anyway. Just do it for yourself, and then post here. Just for fun.
