She looks like a character from a fanfiction story i read once. It's about this girl from the real world who gets transported to the avatar world (freedom fighters hideout) and she falls in love with Jet, but then they all find out she's a firebender. It's pretty awesome. It's called "Fighting For Freedom" by Flowerpower71.

Thank goodness not with Katara. I mean, I like Jet, and I understand- well as much as I could- about why he's done that and blah blah blah. He's trying to protect as many people as he can from Firebenders who are bad, though he knows the severity of the world and that not everyone can be saved. SO YES, I UNDERSTAND. Though, I simply just DIDN'T like him with Katara! Of course, this is a moot point in the whole thing.
I really think those two deserve each other They seem to fit quite perfectly together, and you gotta love a girl with attitude (or else she might just bite you on the face if you don't :/)
Though, on a whole other side note, think that Maiko isn't boring. Just throwing that out there. End of note.
ANYWAAAAYYY this is really well drawn! It's very nice, and I quite just LOVE the whole thing in general! Jet needs some lovin' <3

Hehehehe. I like long winded ones too. They are sooo fun to read!! <3
Yeah, that's why I didn't like him (at first). Katara was like my FAVOURITE character then, and I was like AHH!!! Of course, he totally redeamed himself later in that whole Lak Liogia thing. And his freaking out was... well, kind of funny. No offence, but I still kind of chuckle when he's dragged out like some deranged kid shouting "Fire Nation! Fire Nation!" Oh, only how true he was... I felt so sorry because HE WAS RIGHT!!
Oh, I have no doubt that she would bite someone in the face if she truly had to. she looks mean enough to
Well, personally, I think Mai can just kick some A$$ and it's really awesome. And really, you HARDLY ever find a person who's not totally gun-ho emotions-person. BESIDES, Michael and Bryon TOTALLY admitted they would have liked to expand more on Maiko for reasons that they weren't just all the kissy-kissy relationship and that got the writer in my thinking that perhaps there is more to Mai then you really think and then it just got even more complicated as I started thinking how Zuko would have to be the guy to like "weedle" into her heart somehow and it made me think how cute that would be and then I was like "awwhhh!" and I fell in love with them <3 Of course, there is much in there to prove that Mai DOES have love in her heart it's just that she was shown at a young age that love is dangerous for her and if she does something wrong somebody/thing she loved would go away SO she steeled her heart that way, but Zuko got in it ANYHOW! So really, yeah. That's why I like them because this pairing has more to it then meets the eye (I totally had a Transformers flashback there)
Of course to you this probably sounds all like some dribble and stuff unmeaningful. But I have this whole thing going cause I really don't appreciate people who just "bash" her for no good reason JUST because she's "emotionless" but if they WATCHED the shows they'd figure she ISN'T emotionless! Just shut in, as it were.
Sorry. Ranting there....

*rantrant*
Yeeeees... i see your Maiko point, but I dunno, I just read the most ADORABLE Zutara comic ever, really cute and kinda anti-Aang (omigosh I felt so sry for him )
But There was this one ep where she was trying to cheer up Zuzu by offering to ask for a cake, so he could order someone around. I mean... SRSLY?!
And in the green-cave Ep where Zuko and Katara are locked in that cave together (and all the Zutarians nearly died a fangurls death) Katara seemed to understand him so much better and he also responded more hoestly and seemed so vulnerable, a trait he NEVER shows anyone else, not even Iroh.
But I'm not 100% happy with Zutara,m I just think it's a better match than Maiko.
Hmmm.... they should have invented some other girl, someone who the Gaang or Zuko met on the way, like Suki, and who was with Zuzu before and after his 'magical bad boy to nice guy transformation'. Or even triggered it.
THAT would have been fun, if he would have fallen for someone with completely other values and a different perspective on the war, that would force him to see that the fire nation also did wrong.
Bah... I've just got WAY to many alternative ideas.... :S
lol

No offense, really, but.... errggg. I've been to far involved with Aang and Katara (and Zuko and Mai) to really see Zutara, to Taang. It's just... It makes my skin crawl. Though, I really couldn't care less if you liked them or not.
NOW NOW NOW! Come on, think of how she has been RAISED! No SERIOUSLY'S about it! She has been raised with people who seem like they order quite a few people around- and also, she must have been thinking about how royalty must act as well. Royalty always is ordering servants around, now aren't they? And BEFORE you try to pull some crud about how Mai should know how Zuko asks, you really have to think: Mai hasn't seen Zuko for a while. How could she know if he does act like a person who likes to boss people around? Maybe he was the type of person before to do so, but in his travels he grew more independant. It's all a case of looking into the picture. Maybe she was trying to be spontanious and suggested something out-of-hand? Who knows!
Now, of course, the fangurl epic scene with the cave. Now, of course, Katara understood him because she was a motherly figurehead. She would always look for understanding and seek to help people, it's obviously her nature and the subconcious of Zuko must have sensed that. Motherly things like that have a way of effecting people, should you know.
Now with the point of only showing it to Katara- Well, you must also understand that Zuko was also coming to terms with changing his allegience, which would also make him more able to he more honest with her as well. He was turning good, wasn't he? So being honest and forwright is part of that. He seemed vulnerable because that is something Zuko had never done before. Zuko had probably never explained himself so much before, considering of his behaviour.
Besides, there was also mutual understanding between the two ANYWAY. Both had experienced the loss of a favoured parent. That would bring out more understanding between the two since they could SYMPATHIZE with each other. He never had that with anyone else, because no one else had what happened to him.
Sorry, another rant there..
And, yes, perhaps if they had invented a different girl I MAY not have been so into Maiko as I am now. I'm quite understandable with the possiblity that if there had been a different girl- a stable girl with zuko through the series, I may have never liked Maiko. But I do, and I am loyal to it.

I wouldn't even call him "nice" - for sure, if he thinks you are one of "his people," he'll do whatever it takes to see that you survive, to include fight to the death for you. But the second you're "the enemy"... :iconscardplz:

yeah, guess you^re right, Jet's still his old paranoid self as soon as something triggers his firenation trauma...
But when he was aiming 4 a new start aboard the ferry, I was just MAD at Iroh for triggering Jet's relapse by fire bending his tea...
