This is a really neat photo! The mane appeals to me! As well as the ponies face & eye! I really like the way you smudged the horse.. that is to the shoulder.
I really like how in depth you went into the mane. the layer colors even! But then you didn't continue that within the tail, which made me kinda sad. ): It would be AMAZING if you even went farther and layered colors into his tail. Also, the hooves. They're kinda choppy and not there. It'd be cool if you could put some hooves in there. Also - Maybe smudge a bit less around the lower part of his legs.
I really like how you blurred the background! (: But I can see where you cut around the horse for that. ): On the stomach & back that is. and kinda around the legs.
By the way - the SHADOW. I LOVE IT! I wish I could do a shadow! Ahaa. Anywho. This is honestly a beautiful photo, and we all aren't perfect. Better than I could do. (: Good job! I'll be checking out the rest of your gallery.

The stomach and legs are where i put the dodge tool on to make lighting, but then i motioned blurred it and forgot it might look odd and less sharp on the lighting, lol.
