Radost dated him 6 years ago for about an year or something. Unfortunately, in a few months he became obsessed with her and treated her as if she was his property, without giving her any right of personal opinion. Proud as she is, Radost left his home (Chavdar insisted that she HAS to move in with him a few weeks after they met) and moved in with one of her coleagues. As he found her, he forced her to go back at his place and locked her there. For the next few weeks he had her almost imprisoned, forcing her to do everything he wanted which damaged her psyche and almost broke her spirit. By that point Radost finally swallowed her pride and called for her brother to help her escape Chavdar.
After the break-up he kept pursuing her as if frantic a few more months, which is mostly the reason Radost is so afraid of him. The terrible memory of being his possession still haunts her. And as a result of everything he had made her do, she'd become aphephobic. That's why she avoids men ever since. No one can ever touch the Ice girl!
Anyway, Chavdar never stopped calling her. Even now, 6 years later, he still texts or calls her with or without occasion.
