now I get why your colors are somehow water color
based. Might help you some tricks bout this one.
You can use vector tool and its really more easier
compared to your current style. So you can achieve
the solid colors whether its on tip or not ;]

You use SAI, eh? I have downloaded it and... I think PS is the most suitable for me. Well, everyone have their own program.
