Lying down to sleep in his boat was eerily too much like lying down in his own funeral barge. Every sway on the sea rocked him into a deep dream, sleep he needed but didn't want to accept.

OOPS SHOULD'vE DONE HOMEWORK

Well now something that is canonically happening now-- Seth has started to cross the sea between Belport and Delverne on a fishing boat he pinched. Ruslan didn't make it out to escape on time, so he's escaping alone ;;
This was actually an idea I got during the first post-siege prompt for the Kingdom, where it stated that the Valskis were all holding sea burials for all the fallen wEEEEEEEEPS spoilers he DOES make it to Delverne b
He basically decided to escape because he came to the conclusion that the Kingdom wouldn't be coming to free Valsk, and in that train of thought he sees himself as dead in the eyes of the Kingdom, a lost cause that should be buried, mourned, and put aside. It's only fitting he'd have nightmares about his own funeral ;;

um yes a+++ shoddy painting effort on my end I TRIED OK colours could be better but ahhh i'm trying ;;;;;;;;
