EVENT 1 - IGNITION

The last few years have been uneventful - just the way Seth likes it. It makes moving from place to place so much easier, when the feeling of eyes from the shadows - imagined or otherwise - become too much.

When the first Empire ships arrive with a thunderous roar, the Old Docks erupt. His everyday routine shatters in an instant, and suddenly Amedra is no longer an uneventful place to be. He sees people flee and he starts running with them. He built his life here as detached as he could, ready to disappear at a moment’s notice. To run to another city with less eyes on it would be so easy.

Yet he second guesses himself. He thinks of the baker who gives him discounts, his almost-too-lenient landlord, the porters carrying his favourite sweets from across the borders, the stray dogs that he feeds sometimes. The memories and conversations form the picture of his second home, one he still has. These Empire ships do not belong in this picture.

He turns back and his eyes fixate on a group he can see in the gaps between the crowd. Several dock workers, friends, even - are struggling to hold back several freshly alighted soldiers. Seth pauses for a split second, realising his mind has already calculated his opportunity to intervene.

It is Day of Keys, the most auspicious of days for such things.

His knives within reach, he starts to shuffle against the tide of people, fighting against fleeing bodies and the pit in his stomach. He won’t leave this haven, however temporary, until he decides to.

Squeezes this out for retros, the one Kingdom event I wasn't in the group for..!!! Was very enlightening getting back into the mindset of what he was like at the start of the group (pre-shonen days :hnngh ). He's changed a lot since then and I've finally found the excuse to solidify his timeline for early 8291 LOL

Been using AA illustrations lately as a means to experiment so this time, I took strong inspiration from Toni Infante !! Palette inspired by the Amedran flag (red/blue with a hint of white) and a huge throwback to this outfit !
