Some first digital drafts of my fan character for Miraculous Ladybug ! There's at least three pages of sketchdump on paper though haha
A lot of this isnt accurate/current anymore btw I'll get more accurate sketches up later

ANYWAY

Uhhh as of so far my hero is actually still rather generic but I'm leaning towards an athletic boy. Thoughts?
I'm trying to design him as a hero first cos I can always chuck on random clothes on his normal self later

Based on how I feel Miraculous Ladybug magical laws will work, each superhero has a base inspiration (stuck with animals for simplicity's sake) and have ONE superpower related to it.

The one I eventually pursued was obviously the one on the top left, which is based off a weasel. Weasels are considered heroes or thieves depending on the culture, so voila a really not so stealthily coloured superhero lmao
His superpower involves being able to steal abilities and items from other heroes. Since both canon heroes in ML seem to have a 'catch' to their power, mine's is that his stealing 'accuracy' isnt 100% haha
aka he has X% chance of actually stealing the correct thing he wants... so he could also steal a useless object or skill the other hero has
I went as far as to board out his transformation sequence what
If you're curious, those two navy symbols are actually symbols used in heraldry that represent the weasel. Is that awesome or what!

The other one on the right if you can't guess, is based off the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.
Like the actual Cheshire he has the ability to disappear, but the catch is that you can always see his mouth.
