xXx
The music I based this on!
Her see-through blue and gold dress spun with the music the same way the smell of cigarette smoke and sewage danced through the air; a mystery to both the men and women watching from the crowd as if she were here only to steal their attention, and much less their eyesight.
For with her black and white painted face, and arms stretched like ribbons over her shuttered and expensive costume, the way she managed to articulate even her steps through mid air left people begging to be frozen in the moment. Music only entrancing as much as her fingers brushed what seemed like emotions in the hearts of everyone brave enough to bask in her light.
Yet caught up in the midst of the crowd, his black hair no different from the metallic colors shining through the light, stood the usual apathetic Levi, who in this moment, couldn't help but get lost along with the rest of the audience beneath her show.
Still stuck within the battle to pick her apart from the tangled white silk she dangled from high above the stage; swirling as if mixing white into dark. Blue into gold, as among the machinery taken over world everyone was left with, here she was lighting up only a portion of it in his eyes.
And while she swung with nothing but pride, with the glances she seemed to throw his way, he could only wish he knew if they were for him, or just a coincidence caused by the light. (E/c) eyes managing to outshine his dull average grey ones, like the dusty factories and old robots he worked with as an everyday job and life, watching your show a privilege that he would never understand how he was graced with, for like the many circuses put out before him, he was blessed to see the one out of many where she was the main act.
His thoughts were a mess, between her and the forgotten day of tomorrow, but what rang in his mind stronger than the gentle music pooling from all around the stage, was the thought of what was she like outside of her realm of dance? Was she among the technicians of his small world, or did she thrive off the tips that were given with each show; proof of her talent. Did she run off to practice this routine, or was the pay better than the inspiration?
Either way he knew that the vibe she gave off was one that wasn't to be forgotten, years in the future or not. The way you expressed yourself in this way brighter than the gold that was painted on your skin, deeper than the blue that edged every crease.
While even after lowered to the ground, and even after a grin floored her pretty face, taking over as your torso bent to bow like everyone did after performing, her entrancing and twirling figure was stuck in Levi's mind more prominent than the code he used to get into the factory he worked at everyday.
Like the one diamond in the mechanic and robot-filled rough that everyone lived in these days, he wanted to know her, for it was hard to remember that under the giant blue tent of the circus, her performance was only an act that he paid to see, one that everyone paid to see, as if she was here to be sold off, but in a much more dignified way;
For as she walked from off the stage, only then he realized that it was only her body and not personality that lit up the dull life he was living, whether he only saw her this one time or many after, and still he was grateful.
