"Ara" was my first try on Gouache, that’s why I want to dedicate it to all the people who dare to start something new and are ready to dirty their hands with whatever there are dealing with. That’s why this image goes to my bro Plamen, for all the new things that are about to come in our hands!

Medium: Gouache painting on paper, plus a layer of digital content that was added on top of the original photography/scan of the Gouache painting.

Digital edits and tools: Adding a signature and removing some of the small paint drops left form the brushes was done in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro for desktop, using a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012) as a gfx tablet and WiFi as connection in-between the different operation systems, with the help of “Virtual Tablet App” for Android and “Virtual Tablet Server” for Windows. All other work, like cropping, color saturation and color adjustments, etc. were done with in GIMP, as it free and very powerful tool for image manipulation. I’ve always wanted to have a Wacom tablet. Due to their price tags and the absolute lack of stores in my country (Bulgaria), where I can find the right one for me and give it a try, I didn’t get one. I truly hope so that this Xmas the miracle will come true and I won one.
