Description

Nerudas has hardly been seen in Skydas at all. If it wasn't for his occasional appearances at the edges of camp, many would consider him a deserter.

As a living curse, Nerudas fully believes he's the one that caused the Taikan flood and ruined their homeland; it seems only natural that he'd be swept to his least favorite Tunde fraction. Skydas is very relaxed towards the Kol, and that terrifies him- the Kol is allies with the magic that cursed him. Magic does no favors. Magic ends badly in the end every time, and Nerudas bears the most severe evidence of that fact. Such callous nature from Skydas is not only irritating, it's horrifying in what it can do to hurt him and those around him. Should he mingle with the Skydans, his curse would grow worse- but that was supposed to be his goal. Let his curse swallow the island whole. So why does he shy away from it now...?

Something else that he wasn't quite expecting was the cold weight of guilt settling in his chest. Taika had only ever been a target for him to destroy, and he'd completed that task. Them and their reach towards magic were entirely dismantled. But before the flood, he'd met some of them. He'd met Thirdghost, who lived to spite her own curse rather than wallow in the misery it brought, and he'd met Ilkay and Lorenzo, kind wolves that'd acted as mother hens to his idling self. And Bugs and Alcyone, two odd little pups- two young lives nearly snuffed out. Because of him.

It feels too personal now. For once in his sad, short life, the harbinger has begun to feel like a mortal wolf.
He reacts to the feeling like any repressed child does: he's afraid more than he is curious, and he takes it out on any Skydan unlucky enough to approach him.
