Honestly, I used to believeEverything would be okay
That someday,
Someday things would get better
Less violence,
Less death
Less hate,
More love
Throughout my life
Things have, in fact, changed
Not as I expected
From this I have learned
But one thing,
One thing alone
Just because believing is naive,
Does not mean
That hoping is as well
Hoping will help you survive
Whatever hell
You have been through
And whatever you will
Soon be put up against
While believing may be naive
Hoping will forever help
