Well well...here is another one XDI wanted to do a Chrissy pic for and here it is.
If anyone wants to know what this is referring to, it is sort of a sequel to this ancient picture [link] and it is done in a similar way, only without the horrible anatomy failure.
I tried a bit of perspective with this one...but I'm not that happy with it...and I still have no idea what mistle toe looks like!
My computer monitor is completely bright...and I'm not sure how this will look on other peoples compies...but it is done with watercolours. I'm trying to get back into those.

Haha nice. Steele is such a whore. I totally love the expression on Carni's face, it's priceless. I really like that perspective too, I wish I could do the hole perspective thing, but it's hard to get your head around.

I really like these pieces you've been doing! It's good to see some traditional art from you! Your water colouring and pencilling is far superior to your digital pieces.

Perspective isnt too bad...you should try it. You just have to think about the whole picture before you start it. And it adds alot to any picture...even if something is simple, it looks cool with the right perspective ^^

I have like... 3 pieces need to finish. They are all effectively done except for a background. The holidays inspires laziness!
Traditional is definitley rare! I really love it. It's so much more personal than digital art, technique and emotion are much more intricate then something digital I reckon. Digital art attracts more of a range of people because its easier to understand and a crap load cheaper, plus it's easier to do stuff like creating Bg's with special effects like rain. But traditional stuff is much nicer, easier to operate I think.
Hey off topic question! do you teachers get paid to exist over the holidays? I was thinking of that the other day... cause it would be like stupid if you had to get another job just to survive the holidays?

Yes, our existance is paid for over the holidays. Hell nobody would do the damn job if you didnt get a fe months of paid holidays at the end XD
I agree with you on the traditional media. I do think it is much more personal and shows dedication and a bit more skill since you can press the undo button XD Your trational media skills are freakin awesome!
Well, I guess as far as wastes of life go, Neopets isnt THAT bad. I myself got very into it when I was about....no a little older than you are now XD

well getting advice is what it is all about ^^
Uh...I guess I use thin and thick lines...depending what I am colouring. For huge areas I water down the ink alot and use a fat brush, for foreground stuff I use a thin pen with fairly concentrated ink ^^

The picture's good, but i thought i'd show ya that link...the stuff in the picture looks closer to holly, which most people think is mistletoe...and Mistletoe is a parasite, it lives on tree branches where birds have pooped the spores from the berries...with that said, it makes me wonder how the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe got started.
