Those are pretty good sized little figures!
Super Sculpey eh? I used that on my last sculpture
great for retaining detail!
Did you have to make little armatures for them?
Beautiful job on the painting and I love how the sword
is a separate accessory!
You've got the comics, the figures, heck I don't see why
they dont turn it into a film or something! XD
However if they ever did, they'd have all the story boards
they'd need! I need to do more sculpting. I love it so
and love seeing what other people do!

Nah I am always too lazy to make armatures XD thats probably why they always break..
A film...yes that would be a dream come true!! If I ever finish the darn thing DX
You should do more sculpting..its very satisfying to have fully three dimensional artworks ^^

definitely!
I've a full block of super sculpey in my room.
Been wanting to make use of it for a good while now!
I noticed, I have a little Gashapon figurine of Kite from .hack
and he's only 8 1/2cm. Those are pretty small!
but it's amazing the detail you can put in them!
Have you thought of that clay that when hardens it's more like
rubber? I think they use that even to make the warhammer figures.
For something that small, an armature would probably be good just for the central body, limbs and head. At least that would keep it from splitting in half or any of the limbs from breaking off.
I guess you could alway see about putting small wire in the more fragile parts, however I personally think that would make no difference since they should bake pretty well anyways. Your hands especially seem to be turning out great so no worries there.

thanks for the input ^___^
I think for the warhammer models they use something called 'greenstuff' that the games workshop comnpany uses...its a fair bit more expensive and a bit more time consuming to use...and I am lazy XD

Spiffy. Love the detail work. Did you specifically paint the parts you wanted shadowed or did you use inks?

They're like, huge and really easy to get lost in. I know I got lost a few times when I was younger. Anyways, yeah, your figurines look very proffesional grade compared to some of the things i've seen.

Wow.. thats really nice. How on earth did you do it? I've noticed it's able to move?? do you find a site that helped you figure out how to make it? I'd love to do some for my comic too ^_^;
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
kitfox-crimson In reply to Yukiko-chan [2007-08-15 01:22:44 +0000 UTC]
No site...I just sorta make it up ^^ I just use fingers and pens and stuff...and the flats of knives and things to get flat stuff.
They arent really able to move....its just that the sword is detachable.

Not as a whole like this its make the casted model to weak and its break during removal, you'd have to do each part like the head, torso, legs and accessories all separate and then assemble them after.
