Izumi is definitely one of my favorites in FMA (Both the original and Brotherhood).  She is just such a badass teacher for the elrics.     I think you did an excellent job in drawing her and coloring her.

Funny how i recently got back into playing a Old FMA Game i have.

thank you very much. I really love her personality and her past.
the coloring is a new tool I'm trying to work with I like the way the brush works.

lol funny, I've been watching the first FMA, just to see it again, but it really gets under my skin, because nothing makes since XD

Haha Yeah she has a awesome personality  yet a sort of sad past.   which makes her a interesting character honestly.   I wondered if it was a new tool your using because the color looks a bit different from some of your other art.

Haha Yep.   Since i pretty much finished both animes,  seen both movies,  I decided to get back to playing one of my FMA Games i loved when PS2 was still a thing.

Yeah the 1st anime is Okay at most.  Never made any sense to me. There's similarities here and there but i personally think Brotherhood is the better version

I'm still practicing with it for now with things like this, but the style looks best on sketches anyway lol

I've seen the first FMA a bunch of times, before I saw brtherhood, but since it follows the manga and does what arakawa really wanted, i respect it for that and also just how everything makes since again XD they even managed to make scar good. brotherhood is definitely my favorite anime ever. I have the manga the movies and OVA's, but I've never gotten any of the games :/

Still looks cool.  and as they say practice makes perfect. Haha.

Yeah brotherhood is definitely better in my opinion.  not only does it follow the manga but it makes more sense.   and making Scar a good guy was definitely  awesome.     I only have a few discs of the first series,  the first movie.   and the first FMA alchemist game.

I feel like the movie for the first FMA actually made things worse instead of helping us understand, like how they went and killed characters that didn't have to die, such as Izumi.

My main issue with it i think is how it makes no since as to why human transmutation creates one of the seven sins, and why do they want to be human? they are perfectly fine if they don't eat the stones, they claim that they aren't alive, but by fact, that can't be true they are living creatures. AND what if all seven sins are all there and someone else does human transmutation? with their be an 8th sin that doesn't exist? it's just.....i don't understand.

Yeah I will not deny that Movie was not perfect.  actually didn't make much sense at all didn't help the fact it took place in a world similiar to our own,  just in the whole World War 2 time period.  (Hell Hitler is even in the film, just as a minor character tho).

Though Will be honest i never understood how the Homunculi were born from human transmutation. Like if that were the case. I would think there would be a whole Lot more Homunculi then just the Seven we see in the original.  Just didn't make sense to me.  the only thing i found good about the original is how much more screentime Lust was given compared to brotherhood but i still prefer brotherhood

yeah, i don't know why beyond the gate there would be our world, if the gate holds things to do with alchemy, then why does the world have no alchemy and what are all those black little demons things in there? why did wrath wait in the gate so long and how the hell did he get Ed's limbs? just..WHAT!? XD
how did he get back to the island where Izumi transmuted him if he was in the gate for years?

there would be way more homunculai and idk why they are even evil if they just have the memories of the people they were. Lust would have probably had more time if they didn't skip passed the things they already did in the first FMA, but she was the most boring of all the homunuli anyway..i mean, they all have these awesome powers and all she has is the nails

LordTerrantos In reply to kitkatnis [2015-11-09 03:46:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that really doesn't make sense.   as far as I am aware our world or in that case our world in FMA.   only has science no alchemy.   Even more so i never understood what those black creatures were or how Kid Wrath got Ed's Limbs or how he ended up back on the island he was transmuted him on after being in that gate for who knows how many years.

Yeah probably around 50 or more.  since i doubt only 7 People have did human transmutation.  and if they have thier memories of thier former lives why would they be evil? wouldn't they try to help the ones they loved in thier past lives?   like Sloth for example she should of been helping Her Sons.   but for some reason thier all evil.     Yeah Lust has the most uninteresting power i will not deny.

so yeah, we agree on all of this lol I think most people that like the first one better only like it because it was the first they saw, and they are attached to it, and don't want to hear about how brotherhood had a point and the manga to follow, that's the way is was supposed to be

I think lust should have been given a specialty
Greed has the ultimate shield, Gluttony has that mouth that opens up all down his stomach XD, Sloth is super fast for his size, Pride controls the shadows, Wrath has the ultimate eye and Envy has shape shifting along with his form containing the souls, that awesome creepy thing XD. Lust is underwhelming and besides that, she's the only sin that doesn't seem to be controlled by her lustful feelings, i would think her to be more manipulative towards men and seductive for self pleasure. idk XD all the other sins do their thing.

Yeah.  Sometimes when u get attached to something u see for the first time u refuse to accept it doesn't make sense of if its inferior to a newer version. but Brotherhood just seems better to me.

Yeah now that I think about it.  Lust's Power is not as impressive as Greed, Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Envy, Sloth's Powers.  Hers is quite underwhelming compared to them..

and yeah I admit i never understood why Lust was well not seductive,  manipulative towards men, and etc.  She's Lust after all.

yes, exactly. To each their own i guess.

mhmm, Maybe she died before she was able to show her power, but  would have thought she would have pulled out any tricks she had to get out of that.

yes, well besides the fact that I find it a little sexist for the only female homonculi being lust, I let it go because of all the strong and amazing female characters in the show, and Evny isn't exactly a gender so whatever, but still, if that's her character, she should enroll in it.

LordTerrantos In reply to kitkatnis [2015-11-10 01:48:52 +0000 UTC]

Yep guess so.

Yes I would of thought so too.  but guess not.

Yeah honestly.  Lust can be comitted by both Males and Females.    Just for some reason most associate it with Females. If i had to gues the Myth of Succubi has something to do with it.   But that aside.  Lust is really the only real female Homunculus in Brotherhood and Envy is Genderless so not really counted despite his apperance.   But if Lust is suposed to represent well Lust u would think she would act like it.  Similiar to how Greed acts Greedy,  Sloth is Lazy,  Pride is arrogant,  Gluttony wants to eat everything,  Envy is jealous of humans, and Wrath can be quite angry but is usually calm.
