I'm not feeling up to points of view at the moment, so...the art.
Very nice work, Dani. Awesome.

Its a very tricky matter, but I think it's sorta no different with like animation studios and such. There is an idea, and since it takes more than 1 person to help make the idea possible the studio hires artists and such to help make the idea come alive. Its no different when someone does that as well. They pay a person for the art and to help make their story known and be seen.
Personally so long it's okay with the artist to post the art like on their twitter, own DA gallery, etc. Then they have all the right to do so since after all they paid to have their ideas, characters, and such drawn and expressed.
Plus Bluehasia commissions a lot of artists and its really admirable since not only is he helping them out but also helping his own stories by making them known and loved.
People who try to play police on the internet and such are not too bright, and probably don't think about such things. They probably also think that 1 artist is enough to make ideas and such be possible which mind you is a very hard thing to do and can be super stressful on said artist.

i have used this paint alot to. if an artist wants to keep full ownership to art they should draw just for themselves. when they offer a service and accept payment then you are drawing for some one else.

Agreed, and unless someone commissions an artist about the artist's own characters the artist can only say they did the artwork such the commissioner will be the one with the ideas and characters most of the time. I could go into a bit more detail about this, but it would basically be on more specific stuff.
The truth of the matter is probably is that alot of people who 'police' stuff haven't thought about this stuff, and might be even too young to understand. Though sometimes its the artist who can be an issue, in which case they lose more than they earn in those scenarios.
I will say though I am sorry you have had to deal with such things.

I think you've touched on a very important point. Many people are too young and sometimes too immature (different from young) to accept that they don't understand the way the real world works. I know more than most (but nowhere near all of it) about intellectual property and fair use laws, and it's clear that these people simply do not know even the basics.
Even when you buy a physical bit of art (a poster for example), you own the poster, but you do not own the art! When someone commissions an artist, they own the art, but not the character! When you buy a car, you own the car, but not the technological designs and patents behind it! When you buy a computer game, you are often only getting a license to play the game! When you buy a CD of music, then... well... you get the idea. XD
I think a lot of the time these people want to be important, and they make brash decisions from their perceived position of power/authority on the Internet to make themselves feel better. I just wished they would recognise the value in character creation as well as the art itself.

That does seem pretty dumb. It's your character and ideas so you should have every right to them

Wait this really happens? What the heck - if the artist is okay with the commissioner submitting their stuff (with proper credits of course!), then what's the problem? The deal between two individuals should not be someone elses business, unless the said deal has something illegal going on.
I mean I am flattered whenever someone posts art-work I've made for people - whetever it's a commission, art-trade, freebie, or anything of the sorts. It's just "Wow this person likes my drawings so much that they wanted to share it with their followers as well!" type of feeling that can't be produced anywhere else.
And as for groups not accepting that.. again, why is it so big of a problem for them if the credits are there and the uploader has all the permissions? Can someone explain this to me why it's such an issue, because I tried to understand but I guess my logical skills aren't with me today O_o

to clarify, its not the artist that have prevented me from posting the art but others and groups. why i had a guard is the one kicking me out to represent people that go around policing others
in the comic the artist gives me the TOS and i hang it up at my own place.

Again - if you and artist have the deal, why it should bother others O_o It just blows my mind...

Ugh... that's the worst. I mean yeah there is times when that's needed (Like let's say someone is caught tracing their commissions without telling their customers etc) - but for something this SMALL? Internet Police, go look for actually harmful people please!

She didn't have it in her TOS. I think it was personal, honestly. I sent her a note to work it out, all this resentment she has of me (But she'll take my money, of course), and she ignored me (Saw it was read).
And yeah, I read that, but it reminded me of this. Some people....
