Description
So this requires some explanation. More than just "so i made another sonic oc".So Sonic Dream Team is coming out next month (cry with me, my fellow android users...) and I'm sure anyone who's a fan of both Mario & Sonic will think of Mario & Luigi with that name. So I thought "what if I made a character who can connect with you in the dream world like Prince Dreambert and Dreamy Luigi?".
This is not reflected in the design at all though, as this idea somehow transformed into "what if I made Katie's Sol counterpart?" Now, this isn't reflected well either but I still think it's a cool concept! And then I gave her Electrokinesis, which accidentally makes sense! Since ice is cold and cold winds are like speedy winds and lightning is hot and dangerous like fire!
With all of that ouf of the way, let's explain the doodles!
Top left: The main design. As she's a dimensional counterpart, I wanted to add elements that are similar to Katie but... different. This includes:
- Yellow and orange instead of purple and cyan (not direct opposites in the color wheel but i didn't wanna make her green)
- 3-pointed bangs but in one swoop of hair
- Fingerless gloves
- A less revealing outfit (though her booba doesn't help) featuring white hoodie instead of black (or dark grey nowadays) and full pants instead of short shorts.
- Somehow translating heeled shoes into open-toed socks...
Beside her is some info such as her age, her pronouns (sol counterparts are usually the opposite gender (e.g. sonic and blaze, tails and marine (some consider her as one)) but there's nothing about Ame that says trans or even non-binary. But maybe she still uses they/them sometimes? IDK. Also lesbian/ace.
Top right: Her mentor Princess Blaze herself! Since learning of her powers and seeing how shy and unsure Ame is, Blaze took her under her wing and began training her somewhat.
Bottom left: haha yellow animal with zappy-zappy joke. (you could almost consider relations with amelia watson too. except she won't ground pound anyone ^^')
Bottom right: *Vela Nova intensifies* I inagined Katie and Ame having some kind of battle. IDK what for but it's there. Ame has the Sonic 2 beta/Mania run. I don't personally like this animation (unlike every other person) but it works!
Below is Sonic and Blaze watching this event unfold. Blaze is windering if she should intervene and Sonic's just enjoying the show.
Maybe at sime point in the future, I could write a story about Katie and Ame but I still need to make progress on my current stories...
