I can just see it now... everyone's favorite hippogryph sneaking up on some unsuspecting and completely innocent creature -my heart goes out to the poor thing- seeing as how Beaky's looking to be in a playful mood at the moment.

I bet you may be little suprised that I did something non-animeish for once... and lived. Go figure. Anyways, I actually used to do mythical creatures all the time in my middle school years, before I learned how to draw people and watched my first real anime show (Inuyasha...which is still near and dear to my heart ). Ive done quite a few things different in the picture than usual, since I find it fun to try new styles every once in a while. So heres a list of some that I can think of...

Things Nilde did different:
no lineart
no anime
no people
no shading
no color

I havnt drawn horses in so long my anatomy might be a little off. They used to be the only thing I ever drew when I was little, but for some reason I stopped drawing them. This picture is like taking a huge step back in time for me. I couldnt think of a better way to revisit old memories than to draw Buckbeak, in honor of the series that first introduced me to fanfiction and the online fandom world. I owe the Harry Potter series so much.

Just letting you know that even though this isnt my norm... I CAN draw other things ^_^
