This is a sketch I'm planning on coloring when I get the time.
As for the title, I remember seeing a lion poster on FB and its a male lion lowering his head to a female lion and the title was a King only bows his head down for his queen. And that reminded me of Damion (who has a roar like a lions, has a mane like one too haha) and how he only shows his true soft side to Sophie, who he sees as his queen.

Mini story:

She is sound asleep, and I plan to be not far behind. She stayed up worrying about my safety again as I find her laying sideways on the bed, curled up, and a book in her hands instead of sleeping under the covers. I silently sit on the other end of the bed as I remove my shirt, the joints beneath crackling and popped from the strained movements as I sport a large bruise on my shoulder.

No matter, it will be gone in the morning.

However...this bruise in my hollow chest continues to throb. I rub at the un-explainable ache with my battle scared hand as I let my-self sink back into the mattress; my legs hanging over the edge. I turn my head to look at her peaceful face, and then her mouth. I am always entranced by those tantalizing lips of hers, how their always slightly a gaped in sleep as I hear her breathing softly. I could almost taste their sweetness, the feel of cool silk against my own all the times I've claimed her.

She is my queen, the one and only I will ever bow down too. Yet, she is a kind and gentle woman, one who has no real idea just how much power she has over me; what I'd do for her if she just asked. All the more reason why I love her, for she doesn't let such power blind her to what really matters.

Their are times I still think about the barren life I had before I discovered such a precious jewel, and how I didn't go insane back then. Its baffling really, she is so fragile and small, yet is incredibly strong in her own way. She gives me strength, yet I fear she might also be my greatest weakness. The only one who could break this mighty demon.

I stretch my arm to cradle against her back as I feel the gentle curves beneath her silky nightgown. She hardly stirs, only snuggles closer to my warmth as her golden hair brushes again my arm and shoulder, wafting her scent of vanilla and lilacs against my nose. Are lips are merely an inch apart.

I could take this opportunity to claim her again...No, she needs to rest. Perhaps in the morning?

She moans lightly in her sleep as her whole body stretches before curling up again, her lips and nose briefly grazing my own before she settles. Such a teasing touch was sending shivers down my spine as I resist temptation.

Oh yes, definitely in the morning.

I play with some of her hair as I think, 'We are such complete opposites in so many things, yet we are two sides of the same coin...or at least I'd like to think so.' I feel my lids grow heavy, yet I don't want to wake her up only to settle her back in bed. So I conjure a blanket to cover her as I settle more in my spot beside her and bow my head against hers.

'Good night little one. My Queen.'
