I actually have no idea. When the event first started, I thought it was something related to Black Butler, due to Tom's outfit and one eye fashion statement he had going. I think he's a reoccurring character so maybe a past event explained why he's a cyclops? Like I told Naoko, I think he's just wearing the bandages to be like Ciel so he can get the bitches on him xD

Basically make anything with BL tenancies and people will go crazy. Or just have a bunch of guys in one series. The fangirls will BL up for you. No effort needed *looks at Hetalia* Didn't that used to be a show about guys doing..nothing? Now all I see are raep pictures :< Oh America. I can't believe Ronald McDonald did that to you...

If someone told me when I was fourteen, the year that I got into BL, that one day there would be an anime personifying countries and then showed me all the yaoi fanart, chances are I would have thrown Gravitation against a wall and never flipped through another BL manga again.

Because even though Hetalia isn't BL (at least from the one episode I watched before I called it quits), something about Hetalia's BL fanart irks me. I don't know if it's the character design or the thought of countries boinking each other....

But anyway, my advice to Tom, "Watch your back, not be on your back...in life."

No idea about his eye. When the event started he was already dressed like this. Maybe there was a past event (before I joined in) that explained his eye problem?
I blame Black Butler. Ever since Ciel arrived on the scene, dressing in frills & wearing patches became the new cool thing. His eye is probably perfectly fine but he wants those cool points (and the bitches) - thus the bandages ~
